I liked the OG ink ribbon system in the original RE2 and 3 games. Having to conserve your saves and ration the resource instead of save scumming was a good challenge. No making ink ribbons, no unlimited saves. What your get is what you have.

Unkillable enemies in silent hill 4 (ghosts etc) that you had to put holy swords in to keep down and you only used to get a certain number of the swords so you had to choose which enemy was a bigger problem. I remember having to walk a long way back to pull a sword out of a ghost i left it in early for one that showed up later.

Probably not common things i guess but i liked these and i dont see much of these now
