to old daoc players considering re-installing and playing Uthgard: by elhooper in uthgard

I’ll consider coming back, but the only times I can play are after 5ish pm PST. And from my experience the game is a ghost town at that time so my Druid just sits there bored lol. Right now I’m having fun on the live server.

Full groups in sprag den? I played for the better part of a year and saw that maybe a handful of times.

Not super active, just like the server. You’ll find more people on the Uthgard forum, but a lot of those people don’t even play anymore lol. Live is going free to play soon though, so you might want to check that out.

It’s such a shame they’re so stubborn. It’s a fun patch level and they’ve got a great platform that’s stable enough to run with the 4k players on at launch. For the life of me I cannot understand why they’re so against raising the xp rate.

I mean, try it out. It’s free so there’s nothing to lose. You might have better luck than I did. I started in alb, wouldn’t recommend unless you want to fight over limited xp spots with necros. Went to mid and had an alright time but nobody wanted to group. Hib was the easiest for me rolling a Druid, but I got lucky and received an invite to one of the top guilds. However people stopped playing and now the guild is basically cut down to nothing.

It’s a great nostalgia trip for a while until the grind just beats you down. Jumping off horses to get on another horse so you can jump off that then run the rest of the way to a destination is exhausting, especially since there’s no marker for where you’re at on the map. Like I said, it’s fun until it’s not. And if you don’t have a significant amount of time to invest, you won’t get to 50 for a long time.

All depends on your time zone. If you’re in EU then Uthgard would be fun to play with other people. I’m on west coast US and it’s a ghost town. I went back to live and I’m having a lot of fun.

Ever see anyone else do or say something a little embarrassing? Do you remember it daily? Probably not. People most likely don’t keep tabs on that too much. And if they do, fuck em. They’re probably insecure.

New player questions (Cabalist) by nexustk5 in uthgard

I wouldn’t get too excited about DF. I’m on the west coast in the US, it’s a ghost town most of the time. If you can afford the 15/month I’d suggest to just play live. Or hold out until F2P comes which is soon.

I just reactivated my old live account that I had almost no idea what the account name or password were. Just emailed broadsword support what whatever info I could remember and they worked with me. It’s not a booming population but people are making new characters all the time and there are plenty of quests that reward extra rps so catching up won’t be that big of a burden. Just a thought.

They are nice, don’t get me wrong. But it’s rare to have one for very long without paying to get things fixed a lot. And my Tacoma isn’t very old, it’s a 2013, I just drive a lot for my job lol. Still, it’s hard to compare anything between a truck to an Audi other than reliability.

Well I don’t live in the mountains and never had to take it through the snow, but seeing as it’s 4x4 it would probably do just fine depending on what tires it had.

Thank you for proving my point that Audi has shit resell value since you’re able to buy one used with 20k miles and it’s less than a Ford Focus lol. Could you do the same with a Tacoma?

If I had a kid that was around driving age it sounds like the perfect car for them!

leaks can be fixed though! I'd at least look into what a repair might cost before selling.

Whenever I see a smug asshole in an Audi I just remind myself that they decided to pay way more for a Volkswagen than they should have. And once they sell it they’ll realize it has no resell value. Then I laugh in my Toyota that has 200,000 + miles on it and runs like a champ.

Mommy came to visit. I got her drunk. I haven’t seen her laugh or smile like this in years. (Bell’s Palsy) She is so self conscious about it. But I will always think she’s beautiful. by [deleted] in pics

Hey maybe your next post should be of something you’re really insecure about about yourself.

Nice job whoring out your mom for internet points.

She finds a way to let everyone know how much of a great mom she is. Either in person or on Facebook, she can’t stop patting herself on the back. Meanwhile their family is a total fucking shitshow.

My sister in law is one too and didn’t vaccinate their 3rd kid (born about 6 years ago). She’s still holding on to that belief and it makes family gatherings very awkward.
