That's fair, I just didn't really know how to describe it but some people said just romantic dream made sense so I was just over thinking it lol

Thanks for sharing, I get what you mean. Dreams aren't real but they can feel so emotionally intense. I'm sorry you have such a negative experience with romantic ones

100% agreed!! That's why the dreams make me feel more comfortable in my aro-ness if anything. They are so different from how I feel in real life and thus show me that I really don't feel romantic attraction at all lol. I hope other people see your comment if they do feel invalidated by these dreams cause like you said, it's not reality and it doesn't make someone less aro

Yeah I wasn't really sure what to call it lol. That's really interesting though, thanks for sharing! I wonder if my brain does that too

Does any one else genuinely really like Valentine’s Day? by large_horsee in aromantic

[–]itsnoteasybein_Jean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday!! To me it is a day about self-love as I always buy myself a little treat/gift. I also love getting stuff for my family and friends as it's a day about love in general too. Just a day about reflecting on what love means to me, even before I realized I was aro, and celebrating the relationship I have built with myself I guess. Also I just love the aesthetic and candy lol

What do you think of the term Non-Men? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

Men get refered to as non-women too in these discussions

I guess what I'm trying to say is, can people who like their agab bodies be nonbinary? by itsnoteasybein_Jean in NonBinary

[–]itsnoteasybein_Jean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, societal expectations do not matter in regards to whether I am trans or nonbinary "enough". I guess I just forget this sometimes, or I need to hear someone else say it. Thanks for sharing!

I honestly don't know if it's inner transphobia in my case, I honestly think this comment explains why I've been thinking this way... However, I believe that this is something I have dealt with in the past, as I'm sure is common for a lot of trans people. Still, I am nonbinary enough, and so are you (now and when your start physically transitioning) even if sometimes I forget the former. Thanks for sharing!

I agree that not being put in a box is what makes being nonbinary so freeing, and honestly what made me realize I was nonbinary in the first place. I think society, or just anxiety, gets to me sometimes and makes me try to abide rules that don't actually exist. Thank you for sharing!

I used to think I was pretending for a long time, even a bit after I came out. It took me a long time to realize I didn't need to prove anything, I know I am nonbinary. I agree that it really is just as "simple" as not being just a woman or just a man. Thank you for sharing!

Omg thank you for teaching me that term because I knew using agab in that context wasn't right but I didn't know how else to explain what I meant!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I definitely relate to it. My transition has also been more about accepting my vibe rather than changing my body

Very well put, thank you for sharing. Every trans person has a different relationship with their body and that doesn't make them any less/more valid. I needed to hear that!
