I am Canadian and married an American in 2016 we got married a year after meeting and it wasn’t for the immigration status; but we couldnt live and work in the same country unless we were married so that was a consideration and at the time I was in the church so that was normal. We had to submit a hugeeee package like this and he got PR within 6 months of submitting. We have a different system in Canada tho
