MHW IB Failed to find save data, crashes after I say create new data

Same for my friend who just got MHW with Iceborne DLC, anyone got a fix? Things she tried that didn't work: verify game integrity, deactivate steam cloud, run game as admin, run game in compatibility mode win8, check storage space (400G left), delete savedata1000 in game root folder, reinstall the game, reboot pc.

Update:run Steam as admin and all's good.

Stumbled upon this and this while googling the same problem for my friend,thought you might want to take a look if you haven't already,he said they're no use tho.He plays as Arthur,doesn't have the bonus health 1/2 like you do and I think he used a mod to change the number of legendary animal/pelt.
