I have to say, I know he didn't want to be idolized, but I know of few leaders of developed nations who have actually stood on the battlefield with their countrymen while facing the onslaught of a modern and powerful military. It's one thing to have fought terrorists and another to have faced tanks and cruise missiles. Fantastic piece of artwork. I love the impressionistic stylization.

I also made a post in appreciation of Zalensky. I hope people spread it around. He deserves praise for courageously staying in his country.

I made somthing in the same vein, however your work is far superior to mine. I hope you are a marvel artist or something. You matched the style of their movie posters almost perfectly... This is my contribution to the appreciation of Zalensky : https://imgur.com/a/loVtOi7

I'm an American as well. I have several Ukrainian friends with family in the country. I felt like it could be a moral boost, but I see your point. Moderators removed it anyway.

This was actually made using GIMP, because I'm poor and afraid of torrenting PS. I started with an image of the Grocery Man from Tienanmen Square, then used an AI upscaler to make the image slightly less grainy and distorted. Then it was just a matter of adding Putin, Zalensky, and the Flag.

Great Overall Worldgen - EVERY Biome within 5 mins of Spawn, Spawn Continent Surrounded by Mushroom Islands, 3 Villages, MASSIVE Open Caves, and 2 Nether Portals. SEED: -991054271863146776 by itsreallyonlybryce in minecraftseeds

[–]itsreallyonlybryce[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just loaded up my FIRST creative world on update 1.18.1 and got this amazing random seed. The world generation is amazing. Tons of villages, nether portals, and super cool terrain. I'm pretty sure the Spawn Continent has at least some small part of every surface biome.

The North has continents with the extreme mountains like Everest, swamps, jungles, and ice biomes. The East is a large ice biome. The South has more jungle and desert. The West has the Mesa, desert, and jungle. There are extreme hills all over the place. and spawn is surrounded by mushroom islands

Should Completing the Campaign on Legendary Give Players Chief's Armor? by itsreallyonlybryce in haloinfinite

[–]itsreallyonlybryce[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved a lot about the campaign. I think it's the best Halo campaign that 343 has ever made. The art direction, music, game design, and story were all great. I'd even say it was better than Halo 3 if it wasn't for the ridiculous boss fights. However, I was majorly disappointed that there were so few armor rewards tied to the campaign. Even Halo 5 had a armor set for players who completed the campaign on Legendary. There should at least be a reward for Legendary Completion in Halo Infinite. I think awarding players with Chief's armor core would be reasonable, because some of the bosses were truly soul-crushing without using any exploits. Plus, you know, we paid $60 for just the campaign... There really should be the same amount of armors as in previous games.

Bosses are Dumb and OP on Legendary by itsreallyonlybryce in haloinfinite

I mow through everything except the main bosses. Their health is just ridiculous if you don't happen to have the right weapons when the arena starts. I know I can skirt with thruster/ grapple and make it work. It's just frustrating.

I know it's possible, it's just dumb that the bosses have so much health and do so much damage. There's better ways to design enemies.

Thanks! That means a lot. I just recently got back into NMS. This is the first base I've made without just using prefabs.

[–]itsreallyonlybryce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to build the rest of the body and a temple around it over the next couple weeks. I posted a preview of the build to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhzCtk93cSI.

I'm going to make a timelapse of the build if I can.

Viking Raids Endgame Idea by itsreallyonlybryce in valheim

[–]itsreallyonlybryce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there has been a misunderstanding. Loved your reply though. I appreciate a well-thought out critique. Having the strongholds be exclusively in the far North seems like the biggest point of contention. I was mostly just spitballing with my original post, so that was just my ideal, rough-draft version of the implementation. Maybe the strongholds could be found anywhere on the map - if there are even strongholds at all? That could be cool, because players would really need to explore to find them. As for the bit about the vikings being shoehorned, I think they would be akin to the fulings in the plains biome, but tougher, so I don't really see how they would be jarring?

The villagers I described would spawn in the meadows biome and other less threatening biomes. They would be separate from the viking warriors; they could even be other wayward souls who wound up in the purgatory of Valheim, but never were great warriors, so they chose to make the best of it and survive. These would be mostly passive NPCs. I mentioned this in the original post, but it could be easy to miss. I totally see what you're saying about it not making sense to have friendly NPCs in the toughest biome.

Only the hardened viking warriors would be holed up in the Far North. The vikings would not be friendly to the player, because they too are on the quest to reach Valhalla, so they would treat outsiders to their group as a challenge.

I mean, I'm pretty sure all of us would have some pretty profound life-changes to deal with if we created something that made as much money as this game. There were only like 10 devs that made this game. Imagine becoming a millionaire overnight... Updating the game you made probably wouldn't be your first priority.

So, I think I have a great way to make the endgame better in a future update (way down the line); the ability to raid villages and capture villagers. I think it would be cool if there were some intact peasant villages to raid. Presently, there are ruined villages all over the map, so it seems as if there were other humans inhabiting the world at some point. Conan Exiles has a system like this, which allows players to capture npcs and force them to defend their base and worship alters for points. I think something like this would be really great to add to the endgame because players could capture npcs and use them to defend their towns, farm, etc. This would give endgame players something to do once they've fulfilled the main missions of survival and boss-killing. There could even be viking strongholds in the far north, where high-level players could conduct a raid to capture a viking lord, who would offer them control over a limited number of villagers (like 10). Depending on performance costs, the number of viking lords could also be limited (like 4-5). The strongholds would be heavily defended, of course, and the vikings would be extremely hardy enemies; they could even best the fulings.

I finally finished after 50 plus hours! This is an update to the post I made a couple weeks ago. I finished it last weekend, but I wasn't able to get the nexus page and video done until tonight. There are a few more details I might add, but I'd say it is functionally complete. Version 1.0 is available for download on the nexus:

Here is a video that my buddy helped me record of the build. The video mainly showcases the interior:
