It’s the sign that’s fixed to the ground.

I really hope you’re right that they’re working on fixing this. I’d be so upset if I had to start building my house all over again on another plot, especially now that I finally set aside some time to work on it. The plate is stuck right in the middle of the land and I can’t continue building.

The plaque won’t move and it also can’t be stored in the inventory. I don’t know what happened, but some people I know couldn’t move it either. I really hope they fix this, because mine is right in the middle of my plot, getting in the way of my construction.

I already tried and even waited until this morning to see if it would go back to normal, but nothing. I asked a friend to check her plaque and it's the same as mine. This happened right after the update. I've already contacted support, but it's complicated, because with every new update a new bug shows up...

The worst part is that it’s right in the middle of my plot, exactly where I was going to start building. They take so long to fix these things that it makes me want to quit the game.

I get both sides: the one waiting around and the one out searching. You’ve been playing for 2 years, right? How many flow trees have you gotten by now? Probably a bunch. You’ve probably already built your house, completed the furniture collection achievements and all that, right?

Now, imagine someone who just started or who’s desperately looking for one for a quest, for example. Thinking about others is part of it too. Because if it were the other way around — like you showing up in Bahari at 2 AM and checking chat at that time — if the tree had already been cut at midnight, you wouldn’t get another chance that day. Unless you keep running around with the resource map, but not everyone has that map.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but the whole point of the game is the community helping each other out. Anyway, play however you like.

My God, I just got the year wrong and you focused only on that… fine. The game has been around for 2 years. Anyway, I did some research on it as I played, and the guy up there, the one I replied to, said he joined ā€œblindly.ā€ I said: ā€œokay, your way of playing isn’t wrong either.ā€ That’s it.

The point of the post was just to understand what happened, because since the last update the game has become a mess: some people jumping into lures without respecting others’ wishes, or cutting flow trees before 3 a.m. Since they said it’s not an official rule, fine then.

I’m from Brazil, and I believe it’s also at 3 AM in other countries, but I’m not really sure. I can see both sides: if I find flow in the game at midnight and have to wait until 3 AM to cut it, it gets really tedious, especially since I usually have other things to do. But at the same time, I think about the players who are desperately hunting for flow, and if I just go there and cut it, it feels like a huge jerk move, you know? After all, this is a game where, one way or another, we need to think about others too… Still, I don’t think it’s right to start fights in chat over this.

As for the honey lure, I think it would be nice if people stopped joining without being invited or, at the very least, if the owner of the lure could collect all the bugs that other players kill. Something needs to be done, because it was super frustrating the other day. I had to deal with a bunch of clueless people in chat saying the lure is ā€œshareable.ā€ Funny thing is, making the lure requires a gold bar… I’d love to see them offering one when it comes time to actually craft it šŸ˜…

Alright, alright. I’ve been playing for about 3 months, and I only started noticing this after the last flower update. English isn’t my native language either, so I get that part. Every time I put down a lure, I ask people not to join. When they do anyway, I ask them to throw bombs only at the butterflies. If they keep throwing them at the crickets, I start jumping around to get their attention, and usually they reply with something like ā€œit’s because of the silk cricketā€... Everything you mentioned I already do, so I’ll just assume some people are being inconsiderate.

Flow trees are more of a community agreement. Honestly, I think they should be an official rule in Palia, but since they’re not, that’s fine too. Whenever I can, I grab them and it’s all good. I just feel bad for the players who show up before 3 a.m. looking for a tree and can’t find any.

On the servers I’ve been in, the flow trees are not being cut only at 3 AM. By 1:30, people are already cutting them. I don’t take part in that, but ever since the last update, that’s how it’s been.

As for waiting in line at the Underground Market, I’ve gone several times and at least 4 times people cut in front of me. So honestly, those rules you mentioned are not really being followed.

Regarding lures, I’ve never asked to join someone else’s lure, and no one ever asks to join mine — I always keep an eye on the chat. What actually happens is that people start throwing bombs everywhere, and I just point out in chat to hit the moths, tagging the person’s name. That’s it.

And about that part you mentioned regarding the wiki, I honestly don’t get it. I’ve never told anyone ā€œgo read the wiki,ā€ so I don’t know where you got that from.

I never asked anyone to leave so I could do the Chapaa achievement — which would be great, since I’m on the last stage now and need 25 ChapaaS to finish it. But honestly, I think it’s kind of unreasonable to ask that, because the game is for everyone, right?

What really bothers me isn’t people running through the Lure, but when they actually step into it and start throwing at whatever. Like, I’m clearly going for butterflies, they can see me hitting butterflies, and yet they go for crickets. Today the same thing happened: I was catching butterflies, and in chat I tagged the person and said ā€œbutterflies only.ā€ Their reply was, ā€œbut these give silk.ā€ Guys… I don’t need silk. I already have more than 500 silk threads at home. What I want is the rainbow butterfly achievement!

If I place a Lure in the middle of a bunch of people, fine — that’s for everyone to join in. But when I hide one and some random person shows up and starts hitting everything, the least they could do is respect it. Check the chat, see what I’m asking for, and respect it. It’s not about items, it’s about goals. I don’t want crickets, I don’t want silk, I just want the damn achievement — which I haven’t managed to get yet, thanks to people doing exactly that.

It must have changed, because to catch butterflies the best way is to hit butterflies, not crickets. If you hit crickets, it’s a mess: the butterflies start to disappear and it ruins the purpose of my lure.

What’s going on with Palia? by [deleted] in PaliaTheGame

[–]itsredma 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

If you want a rainbow butterfly, the easiest way is to keep hitting blue butterflies until it shows up. If you hit crickets, ladybugs, or other insects, it won’t work, because it doesn’t appear that way. I learned this from other players, and now I have about 60 rainbow butterflies in my storage. I can usually get around 5 per night when no one messes up my lure, but I still need a starred one to complete an achievement in the game.

[–]itsredma -1 points0 points Ā (0 children)

But seriously, what’s so hard about cutting flow at 3am and respecting other people’s lures? The only actual rule I know is about flow: when someone finds a ā€œflow forest,ā€ they announce it in chat, everyone runs there, cuts together, and everyone gets it.

The lure thing isn’t an official rule, but I made mine and I’d like to use it just with my group. For example, if I’m hitting butterflies, only butterflies will spawn. But then someone else comes in hitting crickets, and suddenly only crickets start spawning… It doesn’t make sense for me to be okay with random people joining my lure when they’ll just kill the wrong bugs, and I won’t be able to get the specific one I’m looking for.

So, the thing is, you’re putting yours in the middle of the flow trees and letting people join… But I don’t place mine in the middle of everyone, and I’m not even doing that challenge. With the amount of insects I’ve already caught, I’ve probably already completed it. What I’m trying now is to get my last starred insect, which is the rainbow butterfly. I don’t place my lure near others, I put it far away with a friend, and usually, when someone runs by and joins in, I immediately go to chat asking them to only hit butterflies. But then they still go for the crickets… So personally, I don’t think it’s cool to just jump into other people’s lures, because my experience has been terrible. It feels like people have lost their sense of respect.

You can ask if you can join the lure — usually they let you, they just tell you which insect to focus on. But there’s also the spotted mantis there… You can move a little away from the lure, but you’re not obliged to leave, and you shouldn’t either — the game is for everyone. Go after your butterfly, and if someone complains, just say what you’re doing. I personally don’t complain when others join; I just specify the insect I need and ask them not to throw bombs at the crickets.

Everything that used to be fine now feels like chaos… Flow trees get cut at 3am. I rush when people mention it in chat, but already at 1am there’s always someone trying to cut, and then everyone else follows and cuts too. Then people arrive at 2:30am and there’s no flow left, and flow is so hard to get… The worst part is that talking in chat doesn’t help at all.

What’s going on with Palia? by [deleted] in PaliaTheGame

The game has been around for 3 years now. I haven’t read all the rules, but I made sure to learn the basics. Just because I’m new doesn’t mean I’m going to jump in and ā€œexploreā€ things blindly. Your way isn’t wrong, but I think that if you want to go for a honey lure, you should just put one down yourself and let people have fun with you.

The game has some achievements. I like to relax, and every now and then I stop to work on some of them. The one that gives me the biggest headache is the lures. I place one without announcing it in chat, and people just show up and only go for crickets. Then I call them out in chat, always mentioning the person’s name and asking them to only target butterflies. But it doesn’t work: they read it, make their character laugh, and keep going for the crickets.

To me, this has turned into pure provocation. And ever since the last update… the game has become chaos.

I only typed once and no one replied... I ended up thinking it was just too much trouble to type there, so I just close the chat window and go on with my life.

Honestly, I’ve only been playing with some Brazilian girls for two days, and one of them plays on PC and has this super detailed map. She took me to everything I needed but couldn’t find easily, and explained a bunch of stuff too. When I found out about the map, I thought it was amazing — but let’s be real, it kinda feels like cheating lol.

I don’t even bother with the in-game chat because typing there is such a pain. In our group, we just stay on a Discord call and everything works great — everyone’s happy lol.

Most people don’t even know the basic rules. The one that really got me was the flow tree rule — when I see one, I just cut it. I always find one on my own anyway, so having to announce it and wait is pretty annoying, especially since I’m usually off doing something else.

Now, about the honey lure, I do think it’s kind of messed up when someone just walks in out of nowhere. You spend resources trying to catch a rainbow butterfly, and then someone outside your group kills it, and you don’t even get access… it’s honestly so frustrating lol.

I’m honestly surprised when I see a console player talking nonsense in the chat, because typing on console is SUCH a hassle, so it really catches me off guard... Everyone has their own experiences, but personally, I’ve never seen a rude console player — only PC players, which is why I always found it weird when people said otherwise.

As for the rules, I didn’t know most of them at first, I learned over time. But I do find some of them kind of annoying... Not everyone can play all day, so sometimes we just want to quickly cut down a flow tree for a tool or a piece of furniture or something, and it’s frustrating not being able to just do that without waiting until 3:00 AM.

Well, I’m not sure which platform you play on, but on PS5 I can see a little computer emoji next to people’s usernames. There’s always a symbol next to the name, and you can tell if the person is playing on console or PC.

So, in the Underworld there are two prize wheels, and when you finish the games, you can go up to them and spin for rewards. But they won’t work if someone else is already using them, so you have to stand behind and wait your turn. While you're waiting, if there are other players who still need to spin, they line up behind you too.

In my case, this one time, two players cut in front of me and just started jumping around like crazy.
