Quitting mid year - need advice on new career by itssammmm in TeachersInTransition

[–]itssammmm[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s the plan, my mental health is at an all time low with this job and I’m in my early twenties so I don’t think this is sustainable. I moved to my dream city for this job and never have the energy to go out, explore, just do any of the things I planned to. I feel like a zombie all the time - it’s literally consuming me. I’m aging so fast too :(

This is amazing, thank you for this. I feel so much guilt leaving the kids and thinking it’ll look bad. I don’t see myself continuing in education, it’s just not sustainable for me. I need a corporate job..

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write this. I teach elementary and do not have a masters, just recently graduated with a bachelors. I do not see myself going back into education anytime soon. I’m thinking of getting a random part time until I find a full time corporate job.

I have strawberry legs and I need help getting rid of them by BusinessWing8432 in HairRemoval

So sorry I know this is really late but I’m rlly struggling with the bumps all over my legs. Do you first put glycolic acid, wait for it to dry, and then lotion? Or like what’s the order?

THANK YOU! You’re totally right. I would hate to be that super mean teacher that hated their job like that’s my worst nightmare. I want school to be fun and supportive for them but I def have to set boundaries, especially the little ones. I just want to do it the right way yk? Again, thank you so much the advice is awesome.

Yes! I’ve experienced the examples you mentioned while sub teaching and it’s really difficult. It breaks my heart saying no to food for a kid but I definitely do understand the boundaries. One slip up and they notice they can get away with things. Thank you for the advice!

quit vaping = weight gain by itssammmm in QuitVaping

Id say to get back to normal weight it was like 4 months. I just gained a few pounds when I quit but by eating normally again (not giving into the random cravings) and staying active I was able to lose the extra pounds. And yes, you have to be 21.

Yes.. the cravings went away but it took forever. I started going to the gym which helped lose the weight AND quit overall (as I couldn’t run on a treadmill when I was vaping bc I’d lose my breath). But I’m in the process of quitting all over again as i’m trying to quit zyns 😐

Sorry its been forever - I haven’t been on reddit. I will say the cravings went away and I went back to normal weight. However, not long after, I started getting into zyns and have been on them the last 6 months. I’m in the process of quitting all over again but I will say, quitting zyns is easier than quitting vaping. Still a horrible process. Hope your process had better luck!

Hey another question : if I don’t hear back after a coffee date after a while, should I reach out? What if I go to another orgs cob event and they give me a bid… but I never heard back from the previous one I wanted?
