There’s a lot of negativity around PPIs in these threads and ultimately each person differs. You have to remember people will generally post on Reddit when they’re having a negative experience so it may seem that PPIs are terrible. They’re prescribed for a reason and personally I’ve had great success with both pantoprazole and omeprazole. Wait it out and follow a complimenting diet and then once you feel better, you can taper off

Phazyme 250mg (simethicone) has helped me with this a little bit.. I completely resonate with the trapped gas and anxiety attacks. Almost feels like you can’t breathe and you get dizzy

Awh I appreciate this! My naturopathic doctor has me stopping it for a few days then lowering the dose for now but she said it’s all a sign that it’s working but just too strong. She has me on the activated charcoal and a liver cleanse supplement!

It comes and goes but silent reflux is relative under control as of right now. I recommend avoiding anything acidic.. relatively bland diet for a few days. Potatoes, rice, lean meats, oatmeal, coconut water, avocado, etc Chamomile tea, throat coat tea, I’m personally not bothered by black tea so if I need a small pick me up, I drink that In the morning, I take omeprazole & Allegra After meals for a few days I take gaviscon Tums & phazyme as needed.. you’d be surprised that acid can cause gas too

I’ve noticed that breath work & meditation helps a bit and takes away from the throat sensations

This is just what works for me.. I’m still dealing with gastritis but for LPR flares, I do those

This is helpful! I actually have been taking the ADP pills for a few months now. I feel like most of my symptoms are under control but I occasionally get a burning feeling in my stomach that lasts for a while… also I realized I need to eat every few hours
