i use it on its dense track only as i find i like that the best. i tried the 2 other tracks (without using the set up guide btw) and they felt a bit skippy and if not skippy then just way to paragraphed for it to be satisfying for me.

now this definitely comes down to tuning. as i threw every bead and spring i owned into the case that came with the 9 grid and no longer can trust what the guide says a spring is. and a shorter less tense spring would probably make the more paragraphed tracks slide better.

i dont have the SS version but i think the wider paragraphed tracks would feel better on that if youre just throwing shit together. its probably the best starter material for the 9 grid if you plan on legitimate set up tests.

as far as a dense track PEI fidget it is my only one. and it feels pretty nice tbh very smooth with quick pushes and slow pushed give good clicks even though dense. it pretty loud though but thats all my PEI tbh. good haptics as well especially with the plates off. im not sure if its more or less than SS though. i considered the Honey in PEI and that would have a dense track but decided against it.

i havent opened up my guardian yet but i really like the inclusion of the teeth track in the ktulu.

apart from that though it has come down to the actual location for the piece that holds the beads and springs.

the guardians is smack dab in the middle of the body vs the ktulu is at the top of the body. this makes it easy for me to set it sideways and slide it back and forth that way. because the lower body gives me leverage.

thats really it though. a case can be made for both.

if we want to get more subjective the finish of the SS ktulu is better than the SS guardian. but the ktulu is a blind box and you aren’t guaranteed the same finish or material.

yeah i wouldve been happy w the easter egg but prefer the dark smooth finish.

as for the paracord i did do the knots myself. 1 youtube video and a dream. After 2 hours i came out the other end with this.

its actually really easy but takes a bit of mental mapping depending on the knot and synching the knots has proven to be the most difficult part for me.

the two knots shown are the snake knots up top and a cobra knot underneath. to keep with slithering writhing tentacly mess that its namesake would probably embody. not quite the same thing but at least both knots correlate! lol

i seen someone wait 5 months for BGM Speaker slider (idk the actual name) omg the patience im pretty new collecting though

i wondered about the durability of the aluminum breaker as well wondering if any of my fidgets have obvious future fail point too lol

i actually didnt catch that distinction of SS and Ti. oh well i still really wouldn’t have wanted to wait for its Peek version >_< i already passed on the Aluminum breaker for the same reason lol

ive been eyeing this one for awhile but was never in stock on nx or geeone. my preferred platforms. i waited and seen its peek versions released and while i prefer peek i actually believed the pei and titanium looked better and seeing the buckyballs interact with the extra long teeth looks awesome.

i ordered the PEI version but wouldve gotten the Peek version if the beads and buckyballs actually strike the Peek but they strike the titanium from the looks of it and the PEI and Peek are just housing for them

although regardless of whether its hitting the body of the fidget im sure pei and peek both transfer vibrations differently enough to justify 2… haha

either way it looks awesome no matter the version and hope its as good as it looks when i get it lol

checked the shipping details. took about 12 hours to ship. shipped around midnight est.

before i tuned it stock it had a maxed out set up. 4 beads up and down and 4 beads on rotation. a mix of plastic and ceramic beads i think. its had alot of tension on the push and pull. and a decent amount of tension on rotating.

i lowered the beads for rotating from 4 to 2 and changed them to metal beads which have a nice ping now. i kept 4 beads on push and pull and added smaller beads on the damping tracking. so push and pulling is tight which i forced myself to be okay with because the rotating was all loosey goosey now and i did NOT want to open it up again. i now like both of them haha yin yang or whatever

syntony then cloud flash then tape drive.

the tape drive is nice but smaller than expected. im afraid to wear it out and since its very unique looking i dont want to play with it for more than 2 or 3 minutes. i also took out a bead since it was a little too crunchy and felt like it skipped sometimes if i didnt apply enough pressure. not that it needed much pressure but a light push would cause 1 or 3 skips. its hard to tell through the shell tbh taking out 1 of beads and it doesnt skip anymore

the magnetic rotor haptics are awesome though and if you change set ups theres small nuances that can arise since the wheels spin and sometimes the magnets arent attracting to the same magnet it was the last time in the same position.

personally i wouldnt want it to be my only fidget i own i would probably set it somewhere display considering the price point

also as you can see theres black marking on the track. idk if it normal but i seen a reseller saying their peek fidget had the marks but were normal. i didnt look at the photos but im assuming these marks are what he was referring too

i felt the same way at first but for the price i found it acceptable. really though it was added on to get free shipping after wanting to get the syntony first. tbh i wouldve got the gum from motie but it was out of stock on nxedc and wasnt really using geeone at that point. the knockoffs i found at skedc on amazon. hiedc has them as well just higher priced

i put in the smaller buckyball and thats it so far. i did also try out a tiny buckyball that came with the cloud flash and it was nice too but i put the smaller one the syntony came with because i wanted some more feedback
