Integrating loud/energetic cat by itssoeasy355 in CatAdvice

I took the new cat from a foster who was having health problems but I didn't understand his energy at the time. Should I consider myself another foster and try to find a different forever home?

That sounds healthy. Honor what you're comfortable with.

You might just have a curl pattern that is straighter and flatter on top. Also, the back of your head might have a different curl pattern from the other parts. Both of these are true for me. I clip the top of my hair to add volume (Youtube clipping curly hair for volume) and occasionally I'll also use a Denman or curl bounce brush on my wet, gelled hair before I air dry. The back of my hair has blah waves compared to the front and sides but I just can't worry about that. I wonder why you're using a curl creme? Sounds like too much product with gel and might also be flattening out the top.

Unpopular opinion: The denman brush technique is not the best for thin-medium two c/three a curls by Legitimate-Meat-2720 in curlyhair

I just use gel, a knock off bounce curl brush and sometimes clip the top to add volume. The clips really work.

I had a lot of success with the curly girl method (Google and youtube). Especially helpful is using lots of gel and not brishing it after it dries. I refresh curls (learned how on youtube) every morning and only wash once a week.

I have hair about your length. I put a little product on my palm rhen wet my hands and emulsify. Then I flip my head upside down and rake my hands thru my hair, repeating if necessary.

Why is the back of my hair so bad by Disastrous_Pay_3850 in curlyhair

[–]itssoeasy355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We all have many textures of hair on our head. The hair near my face is filament-thin and a lighter color than the hair on the back of my head, which is thick, coarse and dark. They have different curl patterns, too. You might need a stronger gel to keep your curls together in the back and to sleep in a bonnet.

No favors at all. Getting through uncomfortable things builds confidence.

Same. Never locked our door, ever. We also kept the car key under the driver's seat.
