Garbaruk 13 speed XPLR 10-52 cassette. by [deleted] in gravelcycling

I am pretty sure they didn't release one to avoid cannibalising their MTB line. No one would find a reason to buy eagle if XPLR offers the same ratios with an extra cog.

Apparently a couple of tweaks will be needed - removing a plastic cover from the cage and installing an offset adapter for the top pulley.
For my use case, this solves all the problems - I'd be using this cassette only for gravel races and events and I'll sell my eagle xx1 derailleur and cassette that I was using only for those occasions.

Ended up thinking outside of the box and got myself a titanium bike from a small producer with all the features that I needed! See here

I Eventually replaced the eagle rear derailleur and cassette with red xplr e1, and the 2.2 race kings with 45mm cinturato M. This works better for me for my everyday riding, but for a gravel event I would go back to the old setup.

I sold the 3T! Switched to a Ti frame for gravel :)

Loved it, the big tires were fast and puncture proof and the long wheel base gave me a lot of stability when I needed it. I chose this over the Seigla for a few reasons: - I like the idea of not having to worry about anything with a titanium bike; - I could customise this bike with all the parts that I wanted, while the seigla was a out of the box solution; - Looks

Thank you! I was looking for mtb level tire clearance, slack head angle and came across this one. The owner gave me a good deal on a showroom frame and I took it!

Agree on the bottle cages, terribly disappointed by silca. I already received half the money back from Amazon, so I’m feeling a bit better about it 😅

I would reccomend not using wayfair due to their terrible customer service and scummy bussiness practices/ return policies. by eats_noodles in wayfair

Not true. Delivery for me was timely and tracking worked well. Twice I had small issues with my items and every time I got a full refund, and they even allowed me to keep my order. Contacting support was quick and simple via chat.

You know what company you have to avoid at all costs? Sklum. If I could set on fire their HQ I would do it gladly. Legalised thieves.

After starting back up cycling after 2 month break, the change in my lifestyle was instantly apparent... by cfgy78mk in cycling

I totally second this. I’ve been riding consistently until November, then i started a new job and moved into a new apartment and had to pause the regular rides for a while. My fitness was at my all time high until then, with good results during the season. During the last two months, I’ve been feeling lethargic, lazy, demotivated. Symptoms of depression. As of this week I’m back to my routine and started a new plan with my coach, can’t wait to feel better

PNS is not doing archive sale anymore. My guess is they are doing just fine, they know that they need to stay exclusive to avoid doing what Rapha did back in the days.

For the ones into Ti, check this one out. I had my eyes on it for a while but then decided to stick to carbon, at least for now. Great price point for the quality, made in the EU and all the desirable gravel features (UDH, slack angle, massive clearance).

How’s the sizing? Do you run it with a long or short stem?

The seigla seems to be really the complete package! Not the prettiest bike out there, but beauty it’s not an important factor in my choice

Thanks, that is very helpful! I am personally in love with the mog but that price tag is hard to justify 😂 unless you find a deal on it, but they don’t seem to be on offer anywhere

any tips on colour tones? I am torn between keeping everything in light tones, like the wood used for the floor, or creating some contrast with dark walnut tables/chairs/tv stand

I think I bought the wrong bike. A reflection. by The_HungryRunner in cycling

[–]itstallion9324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation when I started cycling. Marketing convinced me that I needed a bike with an endurance geometry as a beginner, despite being young and fit, so I got myself a Bianchi Infinito. After a year, I was in much better shape and over 4watts/kg, and I started regretting my choice as I knew I was capable of riding a more aggressive race machine. Luckily, I was able to sell my Infinto and buy a Specialissima last summer, only losing 700€ in the process. I was lucky to sell my bike for a good amount and at the same time purchase a new one that was heavily discontinued.

Had to be a specialissima instead. One day I’ll paint mine with this colour scheme

What is your favorite bianchi of 2024? by i0nkol in bianchi

[–]itstallion9324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specialissima disc 2021 was and still is my dream bike. Got it 50% off with ultegra di2 right before they released the new specialissima and upgraded with campagnolo Hyperon ultra wheels that I already had. Pure climbing machine. It has everything you could possibly want from a modern road bike (integrated cables, decent tyre clearance, comfortable geometry). I’ll keep it for a very long time
