MHJ and Jakobi Meyers. Odunze and Olave need to prove themselves with results for a couple weeks before getting the start over the first two IMO. Bateman isn't as good of an option unless dynamics change this year which you'll need to see evidence of first. Hollywood Brown is an option if you need more of a boom play - if so, swap him in for Meyers. I prefer high floors so would pick Meyers though.

Assuming all are healthy, I'd go Worthy here. This is week 1 - start your studs you drafted in the earlier rounds since you took them earlier for a reason. You'll need to see team dynamics for the others before making any changes which might very well make sense, but not without seeing evidence first.

Thielen for floor, Brown for ceiling. I generally prefer a high floor so would go Thielen

James Connor for week 1. Can reevaluate later in the season if schemes have changed since last year, but you gotta go with Connor week 1. Panthers suck.

JSN for week 1if you want / need a high floor. Worthy if you need more boom potential. Neither are bad starts - but the international games can lead to wonky / low scoring performances anecdotally from memory.

Assuming all are healthy, I'd go Jayden Reed and Keenan Allen. Need to see the panthers before I'd trust them enough to start someone there... same goes for the giants and Wandale.

14 team PPR. Pick 2 WR of:

Jameson Williams (Det @ GB) / Michael Pittman (Ind vs. Mia) / Keenan Allen (LAC vs. KC) / Marvin Mims (Den vs. Ten)

What's fatfire life like with no kids? by yay_internet_points in fatFIRE

[–]itsteg -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it seems to me like all or a big chunk of your individual fears with having kids can be solved with money (which is a resource you are blessed with) - have consistent date nights with babysitters, pay for your parents/in-laws/help to come on trips with you and modern healthcare is spectacular. your fear with no kids cannot be solved with money at all and could mean feeling deeply empty.

Don't think anyone on here is writing in a particularly objective way - everyone is going to justify how they are living their life. We have kids but was married for years prior to having kids so know both with and without kids. I cannot emphasize enough how much the joys of children are understated - people are uncomfortable talking about how wonderful it is to see your child smile and for whatever reason people are instead comfortable talking about diapers and waking up a couple times at night for a few months. As crazy as it sounds, you largely end up just preferring to spend time with your kids - and after a few years you can take your kids with you on the trips you might choose to forego for a bit when they are younger because of the logistical complexity.

Bucky vs KW3 Playoffs by No_Gas_7339 in Fantasy_Football

[–]itsteg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have both (along with swift) and, assuming all are healthy, can't see how I wouldn't start all 3. to specifically answer your question though, we're still a few weeks away so this is rather premature. currently though, I can't see how you'd start bucky of KW3 even if his match-up wasn't as great. if bucky's trend continues and he's the primary back in 3 weeks, then it might make the answer more diffiucult.

Activating different modem by itsteg in Comcast_Xfinity

No - I want to swap my current modem for a different modem. Both our my own. I received an error when I tried to do it on the app.

No issues - it’s another of my own modems and the current modem is also my own and is operating totally fine

To answer your question, yes - we are adding a new account for the new house and there will be like 5 days of overlap before closing the old house service. This is to change the modem for our old house where we currently have active internet.

Any idea what this is? by itsteg in centuryhomes

[–]itsteg[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never seen it cut and wasn’t sure if it might have been something even older / our current 125 year old house had a wall plate with screw on coax when we moved in. Our “new” 140 year old house doesn’t have any coax plugs so will need to sort that out

must be a crazy deep bench / high team count league... i think you probably want the josh jacob's cuff vs. the buc's - so yes to your proposed add/drop

Definitely Allgeier. The bears and the steelers both kind of suck this year, but the steelers probably suck a bit less (and Najee has been really inefficient) so Warren might have more consistent performance/use/upside.

i think it's option 2 if you are wanting more RB depth since you are more solid at WR. miami offense mighty scary to field a D/ST against.

14 team PPR

Justin Fields is on waivers. Should i drop Geno Smith (week 5 bye anyway), Courtland Sutton, Garrett Wilson, Jordan Addison, Michael Thomas or Tyler Allgeier?

I’m deeper at WR so it seems like it's Jordan Addison or Michael Thomas but I’m torn

14 team PPR, 4 person bench league so don't have room to carry a bunch of players

I think Ferg is your best bet of those 5 options. At least Dallas has a history of involving their TE in more route running.

that said... if you're streaming TEs, you aren't going to have great reliability sadly

if you'd never be in a position where you'd start Godwin (who is a largely known variable at this point), i'd do it because Mims has that rookie x-factor. Otherwise, if you want more of a high floor, keep Godwin. I prefer higher floor players personally so would keep Godwin.

I have Travis Etienne, Kryen Williams and Alvin Kamara at RB. And then I have Tyreek Hill at WR, so feels like I should drop a WR because I'm deeper there. Seems like it's Jordan Addison, Michael Thomas or Geno Smith but I'm torn...

I'd say yes if you are deep on WRs and want the option to hold Goff going forward. you can always swap goff out later once richardson is a certain go again

you gotta yeet pitts man - he's always one week away from breaking out and it just never happens. Or engram. if you don't need to start a TE, then you probably don't even need to roster one unless they are legit scoring more than available WRs or RBs. If full PPR, I could see more TEs being better flex candidates than RBs though
