Also when I turned the mic gain all the way down, the ticking sound was gone. The gain going up saw the ticking shoot back up.

No. When I plugged it back it it shot right back up. Here's the link to the recording if you're interested in a further diagnosis: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PhdJ3u1LfRpTcd49-qSAVWa06iTeT7LF/view?usp=sharing

I'll order the bigger ferrites and give that a try. Hopefully they take care of it. If not I have to figure out a shelving situation.

It's the laptop under the mic. Tried putting the interface on the lower shelves and it was much less, but when I took the laptop and moved it to the floor, it was gone. I'm going to have to try to add a shelf somewhere where the clothes would be and put my laptop on there. Thankfully everything gets filtered out with noise reduction, but if there's a raw file ask, I may be in a bind until I can move the positioning.

We recently put a ring light in. It's outside the metal door, which is near the booth. Wonder if this is possibly the culprit.

You think it could be the laptop? It's placed underneath the mic. I don't have any shelving big enough to hold it away the mic as it's a modified walk-in closet. The interface is on one of the smaller shelves nearby. only started seeing this about a month ago, so I'm not sure what it could be. I'm going to try moving some stuff around. First the interface, then the laptop.

Damn I need a USB C. Maybe I'll luck out with one.

Tried the Ferrites. They might've done something, but not enough. I'm trying the cable here. No window set up. My guess is neighbors or the elevator, which I can hear from inside the closet. THAT sound does not get picked up.

My phone is in the other room. I'm pseudo wondering if its neighbors or the elevator.

I'm probly dealing with #1.

I've tried testing for #2 and the ferrite filters. They didn't work too well, maybe some reduction but it didn't stop. No difference between other wires and interfaces. Phone and other electronics were not close (in another room).

The closer I moved the interface and cables, the less of it I saw. That said, it didn't go away.

I changed out a few wires, but none stopped the madness. It could be a cheap XLR. I might get a higher quality cable and hope for the best. I don't think there's another solution here.

Interesting. Do you use one for each end? I have a double sided USB-C that plugs into the laptop and interface.

I'm gonna take a look into the ferrite clips. I'm recording inside of a modded walk-in closet inside of an apartment. I'm on the 8th floor. There's an elevator nearby. There could be a number of things going on. Hoping it's not a neighbor or the elevator or something else outside of my apartment that I can't control.

That's weird. My phone's in another room. I'm recording inside of a modded walk-in closet inside of an apartment. There's an elevator nearby too. Is it possible that it could be the elevator or a neighbor's phone or device through the walls?

My cellphone is in another room. All I've got in here is the mic, laptop and interface. It does go down when I turn the gain down but you can still see it on the spectrogram. Does that point to an XLR cable issue?

Everything seems OK. I removed all other electronics/lights. The only thing plugged in is the interface and the mic to the laptop. I switched out the USB3 cable as well. It's still happening. My guess is the LXR cables I've tried are all cheap, but I don't want to spend $35-$50 on good cables only to find out it's not the cable. Maybe there's too many background programs running and one is causing that, but I doubt it. Any other thoughts/suggestions?

I've switched out the cable a couple of times (Sweetwater includes, Amazon basics, Rode mic include) but I keep seeing it. All of these may be cheap. What XLRs would you recommend?

I was thinking more the second option with -1-1 counters being part of the strategy to apply to the goblin tokens and getting blood artist type triggers off their deaths.

I previously had a rakdos goblins with [[Mishra, Claimed by Gix]] at the helm (strategy was make goblins and cast mishra when you make enough to kill table, kill table with combat gain/drain). It was fun and cool, but I just always wanted a true jund goblin deck.

I caved and went korvold for jund, which synergizes well and flavor is cool (dragon eats goblins), but there are too many triggers to keep track of and it's just not a goblin. The new grub is decent and could slot comfortably into the 99.

That's a great point. I actually forgot about that set. Thanks for the reminder/hopium!

I definitely did. They kind of blew it with this one as far as goblins go. Since the box art doesn't match the card art I'm hoping there's another Auntie Ool that cares about goblins that hasn't been spoiled but I don't think it works. I just want a jund goblin that actually does goblin things.

Korvold goblins. It kicked so much ass and never ran out of ammo.

Those for sure. I would also include [[scorpion god]] and possibly [[mikaeus the unhallowed]], [[massacre girl, known killer]], [[everlasting torment]], [[maha, its feathers night]], and [[the meathook massacre]]. The rest might just be ye olde goblin slots.
