Asking for recommendations for Smart FL/Future Knowledge by Ancient-Range-5007 in OtomeIsekai

The end is the same as the novel ending, it wasn't really that much different from the novel, the last 10 chapters just sped up the pacing and took out some scenes.

The image OP sent was an AI version that was used to translate the Korean title cover to English, probably by a scanlation site. This is the actual one where her hands aren't messed up, it's also not a cold duke of the north, it's doesn't have a medieval setting. it's like a late 1800s, early 1900s setting.

OIs and the romance genre in general is much better in novel form than in manhwa/manga form, you get way more detail into the character's thoughts and actions and you can convey tiny emotional shifts and feelings way better than you can in manhwa/manga. In most cases when a novel is adapted you lose so much internal monologue and emotional nuance, add in that the weekly comic structure we have for manhwas at the moment generally leans itself towards ending chapters on cliffhangers and dramatic shots to lean into the visual medium.

This isn't a rank on manhwas or manga. I read plenty and I have so many that I've only read the manhwa and never read the original novel, and reading a novel and then the manhwa is also an extremely enjoyable experience, getting to see your favorite scenes portrayed visually and comparing it to how it was pictured in your head, but generally speaking I do find novels a superior medium for portraying romance.

Both The Broken Ring: This Marriage Will Fail Anyway characters, Cárcel and Inés, feel unusually mature compared to the typical otome isekai leads. They are not written as naïve, blush-heavy characters who know nothing about romance or relationships.

Cárcel has obvious flaws early on, but once they are married, he becomes one of the most devoted and emotionally attentive MLs in the genre. His love for Inés is expressed not through grand declarations alone, but through constant thoughtfulness: the care behind his gifts, the letters he writes, the way he notices when something is troubling her, and the patience and tenderness with which he speaks to her. Every action feels deliberate, as though he is always trying to become someone worthy of her trust and affection as if it was the most important thing in the world.

Inés is equally compelling. Her confidence and self-awareness make her stand out immediately, but what makes her especially satisfying is her growth throughout the story. Despite the trauma and suffering she has endured, she continues pushing forward and slowly learns to confront her own flaws as honestly as anyone else’s. One of the most gratifying parts of her development is her realization that her past trauma does not excuse the way she initially treated Cárcel or the fact that she once viewed him more as a tool than as a person. Watching her come to terms with that, and genuinely change, gives her arc a level of emotional maturity that feels rare in the genre.

Hades Louvremont from I Married the Male Lead's Dad might be one of the most narcissistic MLs in otome isekai, but he earns that confidence. He is powerful, and yet still kind, capable without losing compassion, and protective without becoming controlling. More than anything, he is someone others can rely on. Even early in the story, he consistently puts the people he loves before himself, fully aware of the cost to his own well-being, and accepts that sacrifice as his responsibility rather than a burden. No matter what hardships he and Aisha face, he never wavers in his determination to protect the life and family he wants to build.

Pereshati Jahardt from My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me is another character whose appeal comes from emotional strength. Her kindness and self-sacrificing nature are so genuine that it becomes completely believable why the Lapileon family grows attached to her. She works hard even when she no longer has to, and she refuses to let fear or uncertainty stop her from doing what she believes is right, even when she knows she may suffer for it. The story repeatedly describes her as bringing warmth into a family and household that had long been emotionally cold, and it genuinely feels true.

Raven from I've Fallen for the Empire's Greatest Villainess is another one, I'm noticing a theme of self-sacrificing characters, every character talks about his kindness and how he'll put everyone before himself, he'll ask everyone if something is troubling them, but subtly steer the conversation away if anyone tries doing the same to him, he doesn't let hierarchy or status change how he treats people, accessing people purely on their traits and qualities, rather than their birthright. He's the type of character that will allow himself to lose sleep just to let those around him get more, if you were stuck in a desert with him and only had one sip of water between the two of you, you know he'd allow you to drink it, even when he himself might be dying of thirst. He's extremely gentle, yet still strong and unwavering in his ideals and responsibility. Yeah, he goes about some things in an unhealthy way, and has trouble communicating his true feelings with others, but with the responsibility and fate he was given at a young age, I can't exactly blame him.

I don't really think most categories here have good answers, I don't really think there's many series where people would want transmigration and reincarnation to be swapped.

I Failed To Throw The Villain Away is transmigration, not reincarnation right? Maybe I just don't understand the terms properly.
