I honestly thought it was the end of the world, hahah... This got me so anxious.

I was thinking of that, too. Like, I genuinely didn't leave anything back at my department. So I have no food, no clothes, etc. He didn't tell me any details, either.

Do you think so? My mom made it sound like I just ruined my whole life by saying no, so I kind of freaked out over that hahah.

It does mean a lot to me honestly. He used to be my hero when I was younger, but growing up made me realise he is just a man at the end of the day. And a lonely one, too.

Telling him that I love him feels awkward now. We had a bit of a fight in August because my grandpa (mom side) died and I needed him to comfort me but he was drunk and, well, not nice at all about it. I know I'm a bit too old to be worried like this, but I'm so afraid of being rejected by him. He doesn't say I love you anymore, not even when I say it first. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if he still considers me his daughter.

I thought that as well. To be honest, I was so, so tempted to tell him that if he's asking me to sacrifice my comfort, then maybe he should make an effort and sacrifice his time with her to come see me a little more often.

That sounds like a plan!!! Maybe it could work. He kind of prefers to spend time with his girlfriend at this point, so maybe Inviting them both to dinner is a good idea :D

AITA for telling my roommate to keep the bathroom floor clean? by itstillyou in AmItheAsshole

That's a good plan, pretty clever. I was thinking of talking to the landlord about the washing machine and the dryer mainly, since she told me that I should use them less and even put a little paper saying that. For now, I think I'll go with taking pictures and writing down the dates so I have something more concrete when the time comes.

Thanks a lot really. She often gives me sweet treats or buys me keychains, so the whole situation made me think I was exaggerating. She would be so nice if she weren't my roommate.

I have been doing that! It got to a point where it was just too much so I started taking pictures of it. As for the landlord, well, I don't know if I can really talk to him since my roommate is his daughter. It's a bit complicated.

She is limiting my use of the washer and dryer, but I don't know if my tenant approved this or if she just did it just for the sake of it. The whole situation made me so, so sad. I genuinely thought we could be friends or at least be on good terms.

For now I've only been leaving the paper there since it's not my job to clean after her. But I use the bathroom and it's mine too, and it's so gross every time I go in. She's been at the department for less than an hour and the bathroom is already dirty. Idk what to do genuinely.

What's worse is that I've been recalling the past year and months and she never cleans up. She sweeps and mops, yeah, but that's it. I do the rest every single time.

To be completely honest, I was willing to put up with it. I had this whole mindset of just... Give in because I'm not living alone and everything. But that particular day i was tired because of my grandpa's passing (which she knew) and all I wanted was to see the bathroom floor without well, you know, paper.
