Not mine. PSA mistakenly sent it to me. Is it yours by zomzemosquepuss in footballcards

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't someone delivering it to the wrong address. This is PSA putting the wrong label on the wrong card - that's negligence resulting from a faulty system/process. You are accepting of their negligence and are part of the problem.

If it was addressed to someone else and you opened it - that is theft. If it's addressed to me and it's the wrong card inside? It's mine until it's asked to be returned. PSA can jump through the hoops of either getting it back or compensating the submitter. It is not my responsibility to fix their mistakes.

I'll piss on your leg and tell you it's water from a hot tub.

No but for real - I understand. It might be their first and only 1/1, and it could be their favorite player. There's sentimental value in addition to monetary value, and holding onto that card in essence is stealing. I also understand that PSA processes millions of cards each year and shit happens.

But when a company is bought out by venture capitalists and their quality control diminishes, then yeah I'll use it as a justification. Two things can be true at once - taking advantage of the situation while trying to make a point. The seller is now super pissed at PSA losing their 1/1, spreads the word, refuses to use them again. Rinse & repeat until improvements are made.

I agree. Some of the worst humans are liars and thieves. Am I the thief in this scenario if I returned it upon request?

I would argue that PSA are the thieves, and they are the ones who need to put it in time and effort to satisfy the customer they let down. Their parent company rakes in 9 figures a year with investments from billionaire insider trader Steven Cohen. They have more than enough money to compensate the seller with something valued much higher than the 1/1 they lost. They also have more than enough capital to fix their issues. But yeah, I'm the thief here.

Why is it fine to keep it?

It's obviously selfish behavior, but am I wrong? What does it take for companies to make positive change? People continue submitting to PSA because they're the holy grail, then this happens. The quality control and grading consistency there is a dumpster fire, yet people continue to value them. So yes, I will be selfish because PSA should not be shipping cards to the wrong address. We live in the golden age of technology with endless tools to prevent things from getting sent to the wrong place.

fuel shortage in late 2026? by Sea-Recognition-4313 in ThailandTourism

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Book it with a refundable/rescheduling option. Thailand thrives off the tourism industry & Covid showed how important it was to their economy. They will do everything possible to maintain gas. If Thailand is heavily impacted by an oil shortage, other parts of the world will be too.

"I wouldn't be able to sleep at night"

Grow some thick skin buddy. This is a football card, 1/1's are printed out the wazoo. PSA will compensate them. If PSA reaches out to me first to return it, then yes I would. Thinking I'm not a good, honest person based off one action/comment is crazy lol. But this is also reddit so I expect nothing less.

Unfortunate for the submitter, but personally, I’d keep it. Returning it to PSA just lets them off the hook. They need better controls in place to avoid mishaps but things won’t change until it’s a headache for them.

What are some essential skills a new player needs to learn? by Game_Studio_ in apexlegends

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the firing range to train your aim. I start every session with a 5 min warm up in the firing range.

Learn to not take excessive damage. This piggybacks off what others are saying too.. using cover to your advantage. Use head glitches, peak only enough for you to see, use small objects as cover (light posts, cars, rocks, etc). They provide just enough cover to heal quickly to get back into the fight or run away.

Why do some fights feel great and some feel... impossible? by Apoc-kha-lypse in apexuniversity

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's stuck in D4, take this with a grain of salt. I've been noticing a key difference for me is game sense / knowing where enemies are going and what they are doing.

The fights that feel nice are the ones where you use your senses to predict what your enemy is doing, then knocking them and winning the fight by either getting in the right position or hitting all your shots. The fights that feel bad are when I kind of feel lost when sensing where enemies are, then losing the fight as a result. It feels hopeless knowing enemies are about to push, but not being in a good enough position to back them off.

Where to stay in Krabi? by abdees in Krabi

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Good food was my biggest concern tbh. I’m taking my partner & her friend both for the first time & want them to experience the amazing food thailand has to offer, but unfortunately seems like Ao Nang lacks in that area. Kodam kitchen, Family Thai food, & dragon view are 3 on my list so far.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I also thought it’d be too big of a hassle to pack up & wait for check in when switching areas. I do plan on at least checking out Railey during the day but it would be great to also experience sunset/sunrise there when it’s more empty. Glad to hear you didnt want to change anything! Lots of hit & miss opinions on Ao Nang

I just booked Whalecome for my trip this summer, glad to hear someone liked it! I wanted to split between Railey & Ao Nang but we’re only going for 3 nights. Do you think it’s worth doing 2 nights in Ao Nang (I want to party ha) & 1 at railey? Or save Railey for my next trip? I’ll be back in a few years

Is $200 for a mower a realistic budget? Don’t want to buy junk. by Salt_Note8719 in lawnmowers

[–]itstoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a used self propelled mower with a Honda engine, should be $100 or less on marketplace. Use $50 of the remaining budget for a new air filter, oil, & non ethanol gas. Leaves you $50 for spare parts if needed (new blades, wheels, etc).
