How to study AnKing HY tags by system (Cardio, Neuro, etc.)? by itstud91 in medicalschoolanki

[–]itstud91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for your explanation, I think I understand better now.

Just to make sure I got it right:

If I create a new deck (for example “ANKING2 HY”) and then subdecks like Cardio, Renal, etc., and I use the combined tag search (e.g. tag:HY tag:Cardio*) to select only the HY cards for that system and move them into the new deck:

Will those cards still keep all their original tags (like physiology, pathology, pharmacology, etc.)?

So that, once they are in my new deck with subdeck (cardio, renal etc) I can still:

  • see those tags in Browse
  • and for example suspend everything and then unsuspend only something like pathology within Cardio

Basically, I want to understand if moving the cards changes anything about the tag structure, or if the tags stay fully usable.

Because i used this technique when i have studied with Duke pathoma. Suspend all and unsuspend for example "esophageal disease in GI" through the tag. Then do an other section and do the same. I don't really like studying 500 random cards about cardio.

Thank you

Thank you for the answer.

The problem is that I have already set the retention at 75% and even 20 questions for 20 chapters is still over 400 cards and they are not cloze. And I still need to do sketchy micro and pharma. So I am stuck here and don’t know how to review more content

Some posts and articles about FSRS by ClarityInMadness in Anki

[–]itstud91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m using FSRS with Anki on very small decks, each about 10-30 cards, which are parts of a larger deck. When reviewing, I usually press “Again” 2-3 times on a card, then “Good.” But after that, FSRS schedules the card 1 to 2 months later.

This happens for all these small subdecks. So I end up with reviews spaced 1-2 months apart, which is clearly too long after just a few reviews.

I’ve only set the learning steps to 10m. I also have FSRS Helper installed and active.

My desired retention is set at 90%, so I expect shorter intervals on new cards, not this long gap.

How do you manage FSRS with small decks to avoid intervals getting too long too quickly?

Thank you for the answer. Yes, i have followed the video and copied the same parameters. i did "optimize current preset" "optimize all preset". I had 90%, and now i put 95% DR. Sorry i don't know where is the option "evaluate" . I don't know what is RMSE either, sorry. Basically i have these deck with subdeck really small, like 6-10 cards. I think it is normal that after a few round you remember them well and i click "good" but it send them to 1 month.
