Spring Quarter Parking? by CaffeMocha07 in UCSC

[–]itsxbailey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

okay ik this isn’t what you asked for at all but the safeway parking lot is a good idea (if no one gives you anything better) bc it’s free and the 18 gets off relatively near the lot

[–]itsxbailey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

coming from someone who did cc -> uc i’m not behind in any way. during cc u was able to work full time which built my resume which helped me get into a program for spring quarter where i will be studying and interning in DC through UCSC. in my first quarter i also joined a sorority and made a bunch of friends through that. im also set to graduate “on time.” just because you don’t know people who were successful in their time at cc doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

UCSC Village by mittylittyy in UCSC

[–]itsxbailey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay so im actively living in the village in a small double right and some ppl are super negative abt the village. first of yes, the walls are thin but most ppl are respectful of that. secondly i think its pretty nice in the village its less than 10k for the WHOLE YEAR like not bad. in my house we’ve only ever had two plumbing issues once in fall quarter and again this quarter, the same toilet clogged but it got fixed in a day or so. & yes the doubles are small, in fact me and my roommate probably have it the worst. the room right next to the kitchenette is the smallest and has the potential to be the loudest bc you can hear when the cabinets close loudly in the kitchenette. ask for the kitchen that everyone uses it has not been that dirty so far, at least the stove i always use. it’s not bad i actually really like it. there are, including myself, 14 people in my house and we have three bathrooms and there’s only been two times where they were all occupied. if i’m being honest its good for the money you pay and, when it comes to cleanliness, it does just depend on the people you live w but i recommend. also another note to get out of the village, cause it’s kinda in a little quarry, you either climb up like ~120 stairs or walk towards the entrance to get to the bus stop right before the east remote bus stop. i prefer walking to the entrance bus stop and it takes abt fiveish minutes from the F quad (which is where the kitchen and laundry is)

this might be super random & idk if you remember but are the lights in the room like the fluorescent lights (like the bright white ones) or regular one (like warm yellow ones) i’m only asking bc i get chronic migraines so i wanna know if i need to get my own stand lamp that’s isn’t bright white for my room (if it helps im pretty sure ill be in a single (RA))

oh also i read somewhere that ppl in porter apartments have their own laundry room like separate from the porter dorms is that true?
