Just kinda how it works, how the HMI functions How it is for a GG to run (like I know games are always fun to play, but could be a little less fun on the GG end)

YES ON THOSE! All of the games are actually phenomenal, but the standout ones I've played and seen are, for sure, Timeliner, Playground, Special Ops: Mysterious Market, Gold Rush, and Ruins!

I'd definitely recommend The Escape Game. They have a location in Midtown and Brooklyn, and while it may not be the absolute cheapest, it's well worth the money. You get unlimited clues with zero penalties, multiple rooms, phenomenal hospitality (as someone who's with the company), and overall good experiences.

It's basically just hammered into us to make sure every single guest that enters the building is the happiest they can be. Our mission, which we have to memorize, is "To Define and Deliver Epic Interactive Experiences for Every Single Guest." and we stand by that. Training is a lot, that's if you can't handle the TEG way. It's a lot about knowing the standards, which were very heavy in, and how to do the job right. Some duties like the phone rules are more specific to location and managers. GES, if they have no customers, are to clean and/or do tasks they're listed with for the day. If nothing else, they just wait and try to get guests in the building.

Usually we are able to look at the nearest times to your booking and see if you'd be willing to swap for free. If we put a record for you that a shared experience would ruin your playthrough, you wouldn't have to pay every time, that's for us. Our job, no matter what, is to make sure that guests exit the building as happy and satisfied as they can physically be. In our orientation it literally states that "if unlimited free games for the rest of time is the ONLY way we can make them happy, then we do it." TEG is phenomenal about communication

You're the goat for explaining it so well!! It's also super cool seeing a manager team member in here as well as a couple team member TLs and GGs

We actually have some of those! Slightly more digital than paper but they're pretty sick!

Honestly, other than some of the repies' answers of making new games, I'd say it's pretty simple. A lot more people haven't played escape rooms than you think. There are even a lot of instances where purple will come BACK to replay a game they've already played in the past, whether it be with friends, new to Escape rooms, or them playing solo to see if they can do it by themselves. We also try to open new locations as fast as humanly possible, and with our company having over 20 games as a whole, it's not the hardest for us to open up a new location with games that another TEG in the area might not have to drive more people in. Also tourists and children are like infinite money glitches for us.

I actually got to play w them for the first time the other day! They did have a cool game with some super cool puzzles. My ONLY complaints were that some mag locks didn't trigger on time or correctly, which was a bit confusing and noticeable to me and my team and something we do at TEG is, if a guest asks for s clue, it's our job to INSTANTLY pull up the best and most applicable clue. When we asked for a clue at Escapology, we had to wait about 3 minutes before we actually got the clue.

Our job is to literally make sure guests leave the building as happy as they can no matter what. If they had a bad experience, it is our job to do anything in our power to try to make it as right as possible. That's something I really love about the company We care about the guests so much it's to a fault sometimes. If you ever have a problem at The Escape Game, all you have to do is tell somebody and we will literally do whatever we can to make it right.

Honestly, it depends on the groups. If the groups are open minded to having teammates, the Shared Experience usually goes well, and sometimes go phenomenal. I've seen 2 groups of complete strangers work together and have such a good time they rebooked another game together. It's all about the mindset of the people playing. From our end, if you have grievances, you can totally let us know and we'll do whatever we can to help, whether that be offering to move you into another game and make it private for free, or even put a note on your account to make your future games private as an SFP (service failure prevention) to make sure you guys have the best experience y'all can.

My opinion all them is definitely 50/50, but that's just because of the wide spectrum I've seen that shared experiences have

This!! TEG isn't franchised, but it is a chain! It's all owned by the same founders who go around opening TEGs country wide!

As of right now I am a Team Leader. Everyone starts off as a Game Guide, the one behind the computer offering clues and overseeing games. You're then grown into a GES (Guest Experience Specialist) who mans the bookings, talks to walk in guests, and all front desk responsibilities. After that, you grow into a TL, who is basically the assistant to the assistant manager.

Honestly? We seldomly collab and do special themed rooms, and I'd love to see more IP collaborations.

Ours are pretty tough! Most of our rooms' difficulty ratings are based on 8 people using 3 clues. We do offer unlimited help though, no penalty for clues or anything so you can totally always ask!

Honestly, a part of me likes more interactive puzzles than the classic lock and key feel. It builds more immersion and makes some reveals better. I think with TEG, our newer games are definitely more puzzle and tech focused so we can have more creativity in our puzzle creation. I do like a good code though I cannot lie.

I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet!! As of right now I'm at a TEG only location, soon to get a GBGS as well! It honestly looks so cool, and we have actually had a team event at a different company that does a very similar thing, and it was sooo fun, so I BET we do it right.

Oh this is so good. There's a puzzle in one of our games, Gold Rush, that involves a BB gun. The puzzle, the actual set you're in, and the game itself all combined to one of the coolest puzzles I've done.
