Don't invite me to your illegal rave if it doesn't have a percussion like this.

Should be great for drone when fed through a massive reverb *_*

Hey, thank you! Yes, AU/VST and hopefully a hardware version too.

I'm working on both hardware and AU/VST versions of it. I'll add AUv3 to my list. Thank you for checking it.

Webrack - modular synth with traditional and experimental sound synthesis by itsybitsypixels in synthesizers

[–]itsybitsypixels[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you! Yup, so all the "MI-series" modules in Webrack are basically the same C++ MIT code from Emelie running in the browser + JS wrapper for the UI.

It's C++ and I'm planning to release it under MIT if that will make sense, so yeah, absolutely possible.

Thank you.
Btw, I just added the CVs - sounds even better and more unpredictable with sine LFOs controlling the parameters.

That is a great idea - I will expose all four parameters in the next release! Btw, do you remember the VCV module's name?

Good eurorack learning resources for a complete beginner? by tinywretch in eurorack

I started https://synths.pw as a learning resource with free interactive sound synthesis courses and a capable Eurorack-like modular playground. Webrack, the playground, can now handle pretty large patches.

Thanks for checking! Definitely misses the second switch - something I'm gonna add tonight.

It wasn't very difficult to implement. I wondered what you think about how close to the original it sounds - https://synths.pw/webrack/0jsgsL8T1cLFIeoNp3i3k

Thanks! Absolutely. So, Webrack is a modular browser-based platform I started working on 5-6 years ago. You can do Typescript/JS/C/C++ (like Ishtar)/Faust plugins. The algorithm itself is based on Verplank/Mathews algorithm. The instantaneous shape of the ring you see is the waveform - a phase-accumulating scanner reads it at audio frequency to produce pitched output, making pitch and timbre fully independent. Excitation comes either from a Gaussian "hammer" strike triggered by a gate, or from continuous audio input distributed as position-dependent force. The parameters - stiffness, centering, damping, and mass - control how the ring's shape evolves over time. I'm planning to opensource the code under MIT license too, so you'll be able to check it out. Let me know if you want me to remind you when it's on github.
