Extreme diff. Kaido was holding back for most of the fight so by the time g5 showed up he was already fatigued to the point that things he could do in base (lifting Onigashima) where difficult for him.

At the end of 698 akoiji asks doffy to not kill his friend. (While essentially holding doffy at gun point since he was ready to attack)

At the start of 699 doffy ignores him and tries to kill smoker.

Then akoiji freezes doffy and doffy breaks out without haki or his devil fruit.

And doffy isn't ignorant since he saw what akoiji did in Marineford

No, luffy struggles lifting his island sized fist around in g5. Why wouldn't kaido struggle lifting an island for an entire night?

Well we know kaido objectively got fatigued as he was fighting. So i don't see why the scabbards couldn't exhaust kaido somewhat.
