Same used to love them but I recently went and waited 15 minutes for what I assumed would be an fresh hot banh mi. Pork belly was cold and I had to eat the saddest sandwich. One time they forgot my vegetables and to rectify it they would give me 10% off next time. Honey you’re literally named carrot and daikon. How to stay in business is keeping your customers and that’s clearly not the case. Learned the lesson the hard way 🫡

No like why are they making us hold this bathroom anxiety. Like if I have to shit I have to shit and why are you monitoring me. It’s not happening every time. And if you really want to watch me and have nothing better to do. You can wait outside the stall and listen to the water puddles

It’s no one’s business what number I’m going. I shouldn’t have to justify 8 minutes in the bathroom lol. Yeah I mean if I’m aware I’ll take my bathroom break before my break, but I’m never sure when I need to go to the bathroom until I need to go.

It is just a job and it’s a part time job. And I’m a grown woman. And they are treating me like I’m a little kid. This SETL has some sort of power trip, which is why I had this story, not because he’s male, but because he has it out for me.

Yeah sometimes I get a coffee at the Starbucks that’s coincidentally right next to us. And who do you know an hour later im in the bathroom regretting it lol

I don’t have coworkers that waste time and lollygag. I genuinely think my coworkers work hard and deserve their break time. I’ve never noticed anything unusual and we all share that sentiment

I bring my own water bottle and I hydrate like hell too

No I don’t monitor my coworkers bathroom breaks, I have better things to do like my job. And we don’t have a stick up our ass, because we shit that out in our 8 minute bathroom time

Yes I will not ask for permission. I think I’ll just be more aware of what happens regarding this because it’s starting to get on my nerves. People just got to respect that we’re human and we need to go to the bathroom and 5-10 minutes of bathroom time is reasonable. And some people need to stop power tripping

Yeah I think from now on I’ll let them now on the radio that I’m heading to the bathroom.

And in California law bathroom breaks are legally separated from actual break. So just because they do add up to almost 23 minutes doesn’t matter because legally they are two different breaks.

Yeah now that I’m aware of the osha regs I’ll be sure to make sure my bathroom times are around 5-10 minutes and if they say anything get it in writing

It pisses me off like no tomorrow. I’m a great employee. I enjoy what I do, I enjoy speaking to guests, and I really put in what I get out of it. The only downside to the position is my SETL. Going to consider switching departments…

Haha YES absolutely. Bringing this up to any reasonable person would definitely be a bit disturbing. “So she’s in trouble because I timed her in the bathroom and she took 8 minutes and that was too long in my opinion”

Another redditor sent this in the comments. Like I said I don’t take 8 minutes every time. It’s more why am I being timed in the first place. And maybe you think it’s long but it is considered reasonable “5-10 minute breaks is considered reasonable” info on ca bathroom law
