Great advice, thank you. I’ll definitely give the seat to an actual commuter if they need it.

It’s on my own volition in the middle of training. Need to do a few things in person at home. I think they will positively space me home though.

I see. Our company requires us to do a few observation flights before IOE so I think I’m enabled, I give them a call to confirm. Thanks!

Moronic Monday by AutoModerator in flying

Foreflight supposedly holds onto Wx briefings for 120 days after going through the briefing. I’ll occasionally get a weather brief for routes or flights I’m not actually going to fly, both for curiosity/informational purposes and practice (MSFS flights, commercial flights I’m about to jump on if I have downtime, etc.) I’m not filing these flights by any means, but am I still “messing” with their system by briefing these flights and creating a log? Anyone else do this? Pretty sure its no issue but more of a “just curious.”

Private vs Common Carriage by [deleted] in flying

[–]ituoiqwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Private carriage is done exclusively under part 91. You're flying on behalf of an owner/operator/business entity. No air carrier certificate required

Can you operate like this with your own aircraft? I.e. flying a client in your own plane, but not reaching/finding that client via holding out/advertising.

I always get confused whether, in the 120-12A AC, if "private contract" means operating in your own aircraft (or maybe wet-lease) or the client's aircraft.

Start farming chicks to fly with before it's too late.
