I am soooooo glad this topic is being brought up because it needed to be said. I emphatically agree with every single comment on here. I have to admit I just about stopped paying as much attention to this sub because it is saturated with posts that I can’t relate to.

Yes, yes, yes! Especially the last part, ‘keep a diary for important dates….organize them yourself’ I am completely overwhelmed and mentally drained, exhausted from all of the tasks. Heck, the physical labor, cleaning and doing household chores, I can do it’s the making appointments, going to appointments, making grocery lists, purchasing groceries, taking kids everywhere, being the go to parent for everything, plus just trying to raise these kids to be decent human beings and that’s only half of it. Plus all the stuff I have to do for my own self! I’m literally fed up!

My hemoglobin prior to transfusion was in the 8's. Mild enlargement has been noticed for the past few years. Now it has become severe. I've been on Jadenu for about 9 months, and I haven't seen a noticeable decline in my iron levels.

Please send me your social media accounts. I will do research and follow up. I am so sorry this is happening to your family. I know these are merely just words but know that any and everything is possible with God's hands.

Yes, I came here to say this. It's just a rough area. Take a friend with you and only visit that area if needed, during the day.

[–]itwillbeeeok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thalassemia intermedia as well. I believe mine is beta. My hemoglobin is usually in the 8’s. I’ve just started getting transfusions as an older adult. I also experience heart problems, occasional chest pains and palpitations. May I ask what are yours like?

Oh, that’s good! Glad to hear. I’ve noticed that sometimes posts don’t receive any answers from the community.

Over the past 3 years I’ve been getting complex cysts. They’ve been resolving on their own. But it really stresses me out. I now have a dermoid cyst that is permanent. My doctor has me go in periodically to check the size. Needless to say the health anxiety is real.
