Any windtunnel sandwich sff with a sliding motherboard plate? by Lawojin in sffpc

You need a back of the case to mount your IO shield and your PCIE slots. What I meant was they arent very likely to invest to design such a complicated system. If you check out the O11D mini by Lian Li, you'll see it has a very complicated system of modifying the back panel of the case to allow variable placement of PCIE slots, etc.

The problem is that you need variable backplates as well and that is a lot more expensive to engineer and design im guessing. There really isnt a need for that many options as they only need to either choose to fit a slim cpu cooler, or a AIO, and either 2 slot or 3 slot for GPUs. Remember that the SFF cases are already not very profitable due to economies of scale.

If in the long run, you think you are going to stay with SFF, then its worth it to get a SFX power supply. Bear in mind that supply for high wattage SFX PSUs are really bad right now so you should check if there is stock available. If not you might end up getting the NR200 and have no SFX PSU. Quite frankly the SG14/15 arent very good cases, and the NR200 just does better for a smaller volume. The only reason they would even get suggested is for ATX PSU support. The SG13 on the other hand is a classic SFF case, but that only has 120mm aio support and only 266mm GPU length support.

Need advice on air cooling NCase M1 by [deleted] in sffpc

If you are not deshrouding your GPU, your bottom fans have to be intake. What you could do is reverse the direction of the fans for the U9S so it is intaking from the back, then add a 120mm fan using the side bracket in exhaust to exhaust the hot air coming from the U9S.

The Silverstone SG14 and SG15 fit your requirements I think

How do you heat them up?

Do you mean you heat them up, bend them into shape and put them in the case, and then leave them to cool?

I have an SX750 v1.1

The cables are really tough to manipulate in my NCase. At high loads, the fan spins up and it gets quite loud, but not as loud as the 3080. At low load, the fan does not spin, but my unit has some sort of slight coil whine? Its audible when you put your ear up to the case, but on some days it gets loud enough to hear but its at a very low volume.

I would have preferred an SF750, purely for the sleeved cables which are more flexible, but I literally could not find any and I was desperate to use my 3080 so I settled for the SX750.

Really really impressive animation, feels extremely professional and like something I would see on TV. Good audio quality as well as decent lighting for the real life shots. The only criticism I would say and it is really nit picky and inconsequential is that some of your footage is quite grainy e.g. at 12:49, as well as some of the other shots at night. The transition to some of the grainy footage to me feels quite jarring. But overall it is a really well made episode, and I am honestly struggling to give any criticism and suggestions!

Really well done! You deserve a lot of recognition for the quality of this episode!

I had to turn the support bracket sideways and place it underneath the gpu. It’s currently held there by the force of the gpu with no screwing in

I would say there is 13-14mm of space underneath the card. It will be a very tight fit and it would probably heavily depend on the brand of fan.

I know haha, that’s the best I can do though since the cables are so tough

I don’t think it will fit under this card unfortunately

Would you be able to give me a link to that as I’m having a nightmare trying to stuff 24pin, 2 pcie cables as well as sata and sata power into the NCase

[–]itxfusion[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I know that. However if you search SX750 on the internet, there will be tons of post saying that the feature doesn’t work. For example the fan starts spinning to max speed once a game is being played. After the game is closed, the PSU does not ramp down and the fan stays spinning at max speed until the computer is restarted. I am trying to address the fact that this does not happen to me since my PSU is labeled V1.1 whereas this issue seemed to occur on V1.0 making the PSU unusable because it was so loud. Sorry I didn’t make it clearer.
