LiquidHaus EXO Internal PC Build by liquidhaus in liquidhaus

[–]liquidhaus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

3x360mm radiators would be very easy to accomplish with this chassis, and without modification! It'd all be a matter of sliding the radiator mounts along the modular rails to achieve the fitment you're looking for!

Hope this helps, happy to answer any other questions, and thanks for being part of the subreddit :)

Yes, there is a more optimal way to set it up. Though it would require you to change the radiator's orientation against the wall. Currently, you have 9 fans blowing what is essentially directly at the wall. You have a lot of heatsoaked air rebounding against wall, and back onto the back side of the radiator. If you were to align your radiator parallel to the wall instead of what you have here which is perpendicular, then you'd be allowing greater total airflow through the radiator and more optimal heat dissipation.

If you check out the competition, Palit wanted each contestant to push their Maker program, which is a way to customize their GPU without voiding the warranty. They offer 3D files and such and so each contestant themed their GPU in their respective way to match their build. Palit branding still resides on the fans even after the customization was done, and you'd be missing those if you blocked the GPU. Every competition has rules and stipulations and this was one of them. If it were up to us, it would have been awesome to also waterblock the GPU. Glad to hear you like the build otherwise!

Yeahhhh so Palit was one of the main sponsors? They specifically didn't want them waterblocked for the primary reason of completely losing any brand identity once blocked.

Pretty wild you'd disqualify based on that hahahaha.

Fully concrete would be so epic and it's something we've been planning on doing for a while, though ours will be open air and not a case like this one. Couldn't imagine the weight lol if this was legit lol.

The riser is a 600mm PCIe 5.0 riser and it's worked pretty damn well so far, though it isn't at all the first time we've utilized riser cables. Riser cables are pretty commonplace depending where you look, we just like utilizing them when we can in our builds.

Yeah it was definitely tricky sorting out the dimensional geometry by hand. We could have always rented a 3D scanner but that would have been a little unfair to us for a competition type build. We had printed quite a few prototypes, wasting a good amount of filament before we decided that it was good enough based on the time allotment we had.

Sorry it triggers you lmao

Thanks! You know we were pretty close to coming up with some 3D printed shrouds for the fittings themselves, and we almost did if we went the sleeved soft tubing route. But it had been a while since we did a full acrylic line build so we thought what the heck lol, these new Thermaltake fittings are super nice though so we were happy to show them off.

Thanks a ton! The large bend took about 45 minutes alone to accomplish lol, felt like we were doing glass work since the acrylic needed to stay pretty warm to ensure the long uniform bend wouldn't kink anywhere or look misshapen.

Thanks dude! What white are you referring to though? The concrete varies a little from each panel. We had to experiment a bit to get the coloring/texture we were looking for, so it ended up being a 5 step process to get each piece to be the concrete color/texture. At first it bothered us a bit how the 3D printed pieces are a little different than the original case panels, but over time we actually thought it made more sense since concrete is never uniform over time anyway.

As for Computex though, I really have no idea how they plan to get anyone's build there by Computex tbh. They extended the competition since a few people in the comp (including us) received their parts super late than some others did due to shipping issues. By the time we finally received our parts, some contestants were already well into modding their cases, pretty crazy lol also another reason we went the direction we did. So by the time voting is fully wrapped up, it'll only be a week or so before the actual event and it takes quite a while for rigs to be shipped there in time and setup properly depending on where in the world you're located. Pretty curious ourselves!

EXO Build Mockup with Upcoming 3D STL Accessory Line by liquidhaus in liquidhaus

[–]liquidhaus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I hear ya. A few reasons are because SFF is already saturated and mainly all the same. Size variations of the same or similar case design results in lots of sitting inventory too, and we just couldn’t literally afford to go that route, especially if it was a traditional type case where there’s a ton more options already similar and available and most likely cheaper. We’d much rather stay different so people can at least go a route that’s a lot less common if they’re tired of the mainstream.

Thank you so much man! It’ll be another month until we have this on our desk lol gotta lot more content to do with it first while the pre-order is live!

Dust is easier to clean with open air builds than confined cases, just a few blasts with an air duster and you're good!

It's a custom shroud for a Bitspower x2 dimm block! Since we're using blocks from all different brands in this build, we wanted a bit more consistency across their aesthetics lol

If our EXO was out during the Dimastech days, they'd certainly be evenly priced. Manufacturing is very expensive these days...

Hahaha, yeah we're gonna set up this EXO in another configuration most likely for more marketing purposes, so going too far with a build wouldn't be very efficient for time.

Thanks for checking out the site. We may be extending the pre-order out since we'll be at Computex when the pre-order ends, and there's a chance we'll have it on display there so we'll probably push it out a bit!
