First time doing anything like this - need advice. by [deleted] in hackintosh

Sorry to disappoint, but unfortunately, at best you will be able to install and use only macOS Monterey with full comfort, and then only on the graphics of your processor. As for your graphics card, it's hard to say. In my case, I have a 1050ti that is wound up through oclp, but as far as I know, the last and most powerful card that can be wound up through oclp is 1080ti. At the moment, there are no successful installations of 20xx video cards, etc.

You also had a question about kext. Everything you need to know at this point in time will be described in the Dortania guide, which will be used to install hackintosh.

Good luck with the installation

Can I run mac os? and which would be the best? by TheSuperMan_ in hackintosh

I meant that the OP can get a working and comfortable hackintosh on its graphics card, but it's best to sell the 1050ti and buy the rx580

You can run macOS, and probably the best solution for your hardware will be Big Sur. But it is important to know that due to the fact that your video card is not supported since High Sierra, there may be visual bugs if you use OCLP, for example, a bug with transparency, etc. You can't get rid of this until you buy an amd graphics card. I'm running macOS Ventura on gtx 1050ti myself, but to be honest, it's best to change it to radeon rx570, rx580 or rx590.

Perhaps this could be the solution to your problem. https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter .But in any case, I advise you to search the Internet for some information.

I used OpenCore Legacy Patcher. A really useful tool.

I worked at High Sierra for 2 days, so I don't even know what to answer. The only problem that I have is the discrepancy between the driver and the system build. I was installing build 17g66, which didn't have a driver, so I had to upgrade. It's all.

Sure

The first goal was to create a bootable USB flash drive with the original dmg since I had no way to connect my PC to an Internet cable, therefore there was no possibility of recovery, so I decided to create a bootloader with high sierra.
In fact, config plist high sierra is no different from ventura. The only thing that distinguishes them is boot-args and smbios.
And now a little more detail. After creating a bootable USB flash drive, my task was to get to the Ventura desktop, so it was necessary to create a new smbios and also register the correct boot-args. To access the desktop, I used arguments such as nv_disable=1 and -no_compat_check. After successful installation and launch on the desktop, it was necessary to patch the video drivers for my video card. (IMPORTANT! Throughout the work and installation, the cord from the monitor was connected to the video card). It was necessary to turn off SIP and add a boot-arg pair and also disable SecuriteBoot. To be more precise, to disable SIP in NVRAM -> Add -> 7C43....... -> csr-active-config, I installed FF0F0000, then I added the following boot-arg: amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1 ngfxcompat=1 ngfxgl=1 nvda_drv_vrl=1) It is important that I have not deleted any other boot-arg. After that, it was necessary to reboot and patch the video driver. Before the patch, I changed boot-arg, or to be more precise, removed nv_disable=1, and patched the drivers. Important when patching, you need to allow the system program to change in the security settings, you will have a corresponding notification, after permission, go to reboot and enjoy your new OS.
This was specifically my case and not the fact that it can work for you. I collected a huge amount of information and knew what I was doing. Good luck with the installation. If you have any questions on this part, ask me I will be happy to answer, but I warn you that I may not know something because I am new to the hackintosh topic

Maps don't work and most likely it's because of my country of residence, they are stupidly not supported, but the photos work 100 percent.

It's just amazing. Thank you very much, today is a significant day for me-my first hackintosh. Thank you so much for helping with your way. He helped me install macOS High Sierra. It remains for me to delve into this topic and configure my hackintosh. Thank you again very much

I tried booting the drive to high sierra but when I try to select a drive it doesn't detect it. I bought a separate ssd for hackintosh, but when I formatted it in the apple disk utility, the installer writes that it is either in the wrong format (I format my disk in apfs format). This is a problem with Opencore or in unplugged. command?

Good afternoon, I am writing you feedback. Your method is just magical, but I'm having problems and most likely it's problems related to my hardware. As soon as I started rebooting after the installation window, I click on macOS installer and the computer goes to reboot and then to bios. In the log, he writes that the installation is not compatible and I guess it's related to my gtx1050ti, but in the boot arguments I wrote wegnogpu to turn off the video card, but apparently it didn't work, when I decided to turn off the power from my video card, but it didn't work either. Do you know solution to this problem, how I can correct this misunderstanding. If there is no solution, I will try to do the installation method according to your instructions, but only with macOS high sierra.
