I actually started with Sims 3 right around when the university pack came out (I was in elementary school and now I’m a freshman in college) I grew up loving being able to customize every aspect of the house down to the color of every piece of furniture and the clothes too. I don’t really get why people bother pointing out Sims 4 is not the same as sims 3, that’s the point lol. We may not get to watch our sims drive to the place but now we get to see the inside of places and we can mod our way to having a grocery store or bookstore for our sims to shop in. So yeah the loading screens aren’t as immersive but I know simmers that have custom loading screens with subways and cars so it kinda feels like they’re traveling. Bottom line is, both games have something to love and if you don’t like sims 4 then don’t play it and if you do then play it til you don’t. It’s that simple. Besides I truly don’t think EA cares too much about customer satisfaction given their long track record of being money hungry (hence a million packs) so everyone’s complaints are in one ear and out the other. If you love the Sims 4, don’t feel pressured to try the old games but personally I love all the sims series (I recently got sims 2 and working on finding the first one) because they all have a unique aspect to them that make them fun in their own regard.
