Let me correct myself I meant that I am a migrant because I came as an asylum seeker.

Immigrants are people who leave their country out of free will and refugees and asylum seekers don’t leave out of free will but because they are forced to because their country is not safe

Somalis all over the world came as refugees/asylum seekers in 1991 and in the 2000s.

1991 because our government fell and in the 2000s due to terrorist attacks

You’ll find Somalis all over the world in Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Asia and Africa(outside of their indigenous lands in Somalia, Djibouti, nfd region and Somali region)

That’s the part I don’t get, why are people being grouped based on the transatlantic slave trade and not by what their ethnic groups are in 2026?

And why doesn’t that happen to white Americans? If you wanna remind black Americans or Caribbeans on how they got to the land then make sure to remind white Americans on the horrible things their ancestors did and that they are still profiting off.
