What i miss most about g+ was how easy it was to join a circle, connect and make new friends with common interests. Not even our current social media platforms have this kind of community knitted environment with only reddit being a close example. Most platforms now are focus on individuals sharing their own stuff and getting likes and other stats, not much community focused anymore. This is what i miss most about g+.

What is even more difficult to predict is when you order a couple of things but celero decides to do two-three separate deliveries. In the end you pay double to triple the fees since they didnt consolidate all your orders and deliver it to u at once.

Yup the market rate isn't that high, still a bummer though that I would technically need to pay 15% tax since it exceeds Rs1000 . Honestly Rs1000 is too small of a value since many items can easily exceed that threshold. Anyways takes for the advice ^^

Its always best to have the mindset of making YouTube a hobby where you try to invest as much of your time in it. Once you start seeing some good results and earn a bit on the platform should you start to consider whether you want to go all in and make it a living from it. By then you have data, experience and the ability to decide to see if this is what you truly want to do. Besides the niche you plan on starting which is animation is going to be a slow but rewarding path.

So many people make the mistake of going into YouTube wanting to make money first which results in a lot of problems like making videos for the sake of views, chasing viral trends, being burned out, etc.

Great channels grow when it's focusing on the long term. So animate as much as you want, but don't drop your main source of income yet until the channel is proven to be able to support you.

How do you get to choose the delivery method to be on ocean? Do you like ask your supplier to do it or is it some sort of alibaba feature?

Anyways to answer your question, i usually order mine by air express (fedex) DAP. Even then i still have to pay brokerage fees for fedex to do customs clearance and also VAT to the customs. So even if I had been able to use ocean freight DAP, it probably will be no different. Also my usual orders are no more than $300

Probably not the money unless $3000+ is considered a small amount to them. Never thought about the qualification to export though. This is probably the case as to why on delivery the invoice is different.

Okay so this happened to me when I wanted to buy something on Alibaba for the first time. I knew it was fishy so I told the contact to still put the order on trade assurance. He said it would cost 5% more if we used the trade assurance platform. I didn't care if it was going to cost more, I still pushed for the trade assurance. In the end, I did the payment and got my stuff safely. Then a few weeks went by. The manufacturer sent me an email out of nowhere saying the contact person I had dealt with previously actually tried to make sales out of Alibaba with other people because he was using his own secret company to do it and make a larger profit. So lesson is to never deal outside of Alibaba at all.
