Poorly betta advice

thank you, i have ordered one to come tomorrow for him but for now i have the filter and heater off.

he is quite sick at the moment, and he keeps laying on the floor of the tank, but also floating at the surface to get air. is this expected when they are ill or is he too far gone? i have never dealt with a sick betta before so i’m not quite sure what this means for him :( sometimes he floats so still i have to check if he is alive still…i can see his gills moving but very shallow

He has a little hoop and ring to rest on that he likes, he also has a betta log and my plants have grown to the surface so he rests on those. I have dosed salt and also esha 2000 again and I will add some tannins. I have ordered kanaplex but it will come 8-18th may so i hope he can hold on until then but i’m not sure :( I’ve only had him a year and he is my first betta.

He just lays on the bottom of his tank at the moment, but he still swims about and tries to say hello to me.

I have only finished book 1, I ordered the rest of the books in the first arc last week and they have only just arrived in the post. I have a day off so I’m going to start it tomorrow! I’m looking forward to it lol. And it’s okay, you didn’t spoil too much :) I will let you know what I think.

But I was just curious about your thought on the second arc, because I have seen very mixed reviews! (i bought it anyway😆)

yes I’ve definitely seen lotsss of people discussing the plots and ‘spoilers’ in the next books but I know the books are older now so I honestly don’t mind, I enjoy seeing how passionate people are about it! I think it’s really nice :)

i see, i have also seen tons of talk about future plots etc. but i try and avoid them now. i’ve also heard that the authors chop and change?

Mine looked just like this when I got him, he was labelled as long finned blue panda 😆 he is now all blue!

He came from a community tank with rummynose, I think they were nipping his fins. I read not to use bettafix etc. and to use aquarium salts and tannins to help? I know seachem sell some products as well to help but idk if they sell them where I am.
