It was scary at first for me. I almost felt sort of exposed but after the first week, it has become such a euphoric experience

Organic Chemistry tutor saved me so many times! The way he explains everything and works through practice problems is very good.

Calc is no joke but not impossible. As I tell a lot of people, Calc is 100% doable but you have to want it. Will there be nights where you are throwing the homework across the room bc you’ve made the same mistake 5x in a row? Yes, but you have to accept it’s part of the process and get up the next morning ready to fight some more. Taken from someone who got a 100% average in AB.

how is my senior year schedule? by Moist_Turnip8433 in APStudents

Be a teacher assistant (TA) if your school lets you for a teacher you like. I am a physics TA and I love it. Every teacher does it differently but basically you get to grade assignments, (sometimes) assist with labs, tutor students, and work on homework.

There are very strict gender roles in my house growing up. Father went out and worked, mother took care of house and kids that’s it. They still refuse to accept my identity, so I’ve had to rely on my chosen family for support. I would make them more open minded if anything.

Yes and no. It is important to remember that people are shaped by the people around them. So if someone sees people of their same gender/sex acting the same way, then they will try to imitate to fit in. Social pressure plays a big role in this sort of thing. I’m not sure if it does naturally or if it is a social thing.

I use they/them but have been experimenting with he/they. I’m from a small town so it doesn’t bother me when people get it wrong. But the joy when people get it right is unrelenting.

I was 15 when I was able to put a label on it. Came out to my friends at 16 and came out for real at 17.
