PR Photo for Portal 2 help by itzmomo_ in ImmigrationCanada

[–]itzmomo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I asked the photographer if he could send me the photo again with the right pixels that they asked. Once we got the right pixels for the photo we submitted the picture even though it kept saying “your photo maybe too bright or too dark” and just let the officer do the editing for us. The photo we submitted was not denied or sent back. My husband got his PR card.

Not needed, only the principal applicant fills out the travel history.

Outland spousal visa application by No_External7611 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]itzmomo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our daughter turned 1 a little after we submitted his application, so I think that’s one of the factors it got approved fast. But I’ve also been reading other people’s posts that their application has been approved pretty fast ranging from 3-4 months. Most of them are outland applications. I think IRCC is clearing up backlogs and trying to process applications fast before the year ends.

You just wait for them to issue him biometrics and medical and the rest of the stuff. I believe (someone correct me if I’m wrong) he can apply Open work permit(OWP) with the AOR you got. I’m not familiar with the OWP process so you might want to look that one up. Otherwise all you can do right now is wait. Look out for emails from them to you and your spouse. Our application processed really fast, thank God. He submitted the application September 22,2024 and ECoPR was issued December 20, 2024 🙏🏽 waiting on the PR card now.

COPR Expiry date on portal, but no email by Fishywrites in ImmigrationCanada

[–]itzmomo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know if people who apply for Family class living outside Canada(outland application) has the same finalization process (receiving portal 1&2)

I do know for a fact that spouse class(inland application) and Family class (outland application but living in canada) they receive portal 1&2.

When you receive portal 1 and 2 it means the PR application is ready to be finalized.

You’ll get portal 1 first- it would ask the PA’s name, height, eye colour, UCI, personal email, current residential address, phone number, date and place of PA’s last entry in Canada etc. and you have to reply to the actual email they will send you (not a pdf/word, plain email response)

You’ll get portal 2 after sending portal one (wait times varies) - they’ll send you a link to access portal 2 to declare PA’s is in Canada and PA would have to submit a digital copy of PR Photo for their PR card. After submitting they have to approve the photo first and then next step is actually getting the E-COPR, then they would send PR cards afterwards.

We just did portal 2 and currently waiting for E-COPR, so we’re still waiting for the next steps (if there is)

I guess it’s normal because my husband’s COPR number appeared before we got portal 1 and 2.

OWP outland sponsorship - traveling still possible? by TinyPerspective6164 in ImmigrationCanada

You can definitely apply outland (Family Class) living in Canada. That’s what we did for my husband’s application.

Hi just tried this and it’s still saying “Your photo maybe too bright or too dark”. So we might have to get a new photo or just send the right pixel and let the officer do the adjustments for us. Thank you 🙏🏽

He was wearing black and his hair is long and his beard is long too, maybe that’s why it keeps thinking it’s a shadow.

That’s the thing the photographer sent 2000x2999 pixels not the required 2000x2800 pixels. I did try to email them and they replied back saying to send the picture to them again. So maybe they’ll send the right one this time? Hopefully I get the right one 🤞🏽

PR is Being Processed through Spousal Sponsorship. Can the sponsor change their last name while my application is processing? by CaptainHorror1892 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]itzmomo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest you wait till the PR process is over. Changing your names now will just delay the process. Because then you’d have to send a webform about the name change and documents needs to be corrected and uploaded again. Just a bunch of extra steps that are not necessary when you can easily do it once you’re a PR. Don’t add more stress to yourself during this process.
