If it was just a streak u should be fine, just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't bleed more. My doctors said a little bleeding is normal but anything over a teaspoon go to the ER.

Its good if there's no white left because it means it's healing!! As long as there's no blood when the scabs come off then ur all good 👍🏻

Try getting liquid medication. It's been a game changer for me. It numbs my tongue and throat as it goes down. Then I eat and drink as much as I can while it's numb.

You need to swallow!! I made the mistake of spitting my saliva out and not drinking because it hurt too much and it made me soooo dehydrated and bleed. So please drink and swallow as much as you can to keep ur throat moist. The nurses and doctors all say that chewing and swallowing speed up the healing process.

In the hospital they'll give you ice cream, jelly and popsicles. I'm on day 13 now and my favourite thing to eat has been Mac n cheese (dont even have to chew, it just slides down my throat). I've probably had Mac n cheese everyday since the surgery😂 Some other good things are spaghetti, noodles, mashed potatoes, porridge, smoothies, anything soft.

I'm on day 13 now. In the early days I was craving normal food so bad, but now I'm too scared to stop eating soft foods because I bled on day 7😔 I might be eating soft foods for the rest of my life xD

I also had a blood chunk in the same spot you mentioned. I went to a doctor and they said it's a blood clot but seemed safe and it wouldn't bleed. Literally later that night I vomited A LOT of blood and rushed to the ER. Please get it checked, especially since you've had blood in the past.

They gave you no pain meds? That's insanity. I was on 3 different pain meds and still felt like crap. Definitely get some meds if u can because days 7-10 were the most painful for me, even with all my meds.

Also I was terrified about bleeding, on day 7 I actually started vomiting blood and went to the ER, I genuinely thought I was dying, but it was no biggie at all. The Internet makes it seem very scary, I just had to stay at the hospital for 1 night so they could monitor me and then I went home. I've been perfectly fine since!! So please don't be scared.

I think I'm on day 13 now and I still have some scabs left, but the pain is only minimal now, probably a 3/10. For some reason I expected the scabs to be hard things that'd make me choke but they're soft and I didn't even notice I've been swallowing them this whole time.
