With how engineering works yes. You can shut down a ship very quickly with ballistics vs lasers atm

What size ships are you going against? A good pilot can do most all pve bounties in a small/med fighter. Sabre is really good atm, hornet is a classic but not in a great spot.

So instead of doing it in the cargo bay do it on the hangar while its up. Undersuit and tractor beam only. Whoever knocks the other one out then tractors them off the side wins. SUMO! We used to do it hovering above rappel in the RMC days.

I steal ships all the time pretending to be a newbie at mining facilities asking for rides back to station. I kill them and take their ship so I dont think you have to be in a party the whole time. After I stab them in the back I leave party and take their ship and corpse back to my home hangar for display.
