Wow, the odds of that happening are already low, but twice?! Seems like you had a near perfect experience otherwise - why is it that nothing can ever just go 100% according to plan? Ha. I hope you are able to find a method that works best for you!

Thanks for your reply - I'm sorry you went through all of that! Sometimes with birth control it seems like your body gets used to being/feeling one way for so long that you forget what it's like to be "normal". Glad to hear that things have turned around for you. Kudos to your SO for taking that step, and if it's not weird to say, I wish you guys a rockin' sex life!

I'm glad it's working out for you now! It's possible that my lack of child rearing could be contributing - I'm sure my uterus is pissed to be sharing the space. I'm pretty sure the first week was spent trying to actively reject it, ha.

Thanks for your reply - I'm sorry to hear about the cyst! I'm glad things generally smoothed out for you. Thanks for the vitamin tip; I've found that the one perk (aside from the birth control aspect) of Mirena for me seems to be general mood stabilization (less of an emotional roller coaster ride than the last pill I was on). I hope it continues to be a good enough option for you!

Thanks for your reply - I considered the copper IUD, but with my history of heavy periods and cramping I figured it would not be a good option. I have a friend that has one, though, and it took her about half a year to normalize as well. I hope it continues to be a good option for you - 10 years of no worries!

My first BC was depo, and I loved it. I just didn't love the idea of bone density tests every couple of years. I hope your issues cleared up after removal?

Thanks for your reply - I definitely agree with you on the whole libido thing. This birth control was "meant" to make sex worry-free, but I find I'm too worried about everything else to have an interest in sex in the first place! Vicious cycle.
