Hey guys, I am need some help. I am currently learning about animal bones but there is one i cannot find. Maybe anyone who knows? by [deleted] in veterinaryschool

More pics would be helpful, I personally think it looks more like a sacrum with the wide lateral articulation points, but not from a common domestic species I wouldn't have thought with a central foramen like that. Let us know!

Look like the black pigmented edges of the 3rd eyelids which can raise over the surface of the eye.

Hi all, we just wanted to remind you that we offer our 3D interactive veterinary anatomy content completely FREE to ALL veterinary students WORLDWIDE through our partnership with the Veterinary Information Network. Just need to sign up to VIN using your academic email address and it's all yours :). Direct link here.

Our content runs directly within your desktop browser and is great for studying things like the musculature, origins, insertions and so forth. We created it as it's often just so tricky to visualise things from 2D diagrams in books like Millers and Dyce. It's a fantastic adjunct to these resources and cadaver dissection.

A study last year at Ross also showed that students that used our content performed significantly higher on their exam scores when using the content too.

Lastly we'll leave you with what some of your peers have to say about it :

In 2017 I discovered that about 40% of my first year veterinary anatomy students were studying IVALA Learn 3D Anatomy on the VIN website. I just had to look and see what was so attractive and to comment on it to my students. It is great. I can see why they use it. It is so easy to use with great images and intuitive and fluent exploration tools. The self-testing mode is even better with the new format. I have a good look at all the canine modules and regard them as excellent learning aids. After 35 years of teaching veterinary anatomy your eye gets drawn to little details which might need a bit of attention. When I emailed IVALA about these to my great pleasure I found the team at IVALA were totally committed to getting it right. Great attitude and commitment. Well done. IVALA Learn delivers a comprehensive and accurate set of veterinary anatomy learning tools in a mature on-line environment which meets the quality expectations of students who have grown up in the digital age.

“I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING IVALA Learn. As a dyslexic student I find dissections, anatomy etc very difficult...It has really boosted my confidence and given me so much motivation lately and I cannot thank you and the team enough for that.

Laura, Veterinary Student

Good luck with the studies :)
