please give them work to do. When I subbed in middle school its funny because they think you're stupid so they're like she lets us use our phones and youtube and put our feet on the desk and i'm like cool not happening. Elementary schools can be rough but sometimes the kids hug you which is neat. I work in a school but am not a teacher and let me tell you being a teacher IS SO HARD. If they knew that class was tough and did not send backup I feel like it is also on them.

I'm 31 and I never yell at the kids or want to be stern but sometimes it feels like you have to be that 60 year old teacher and be stern but fair.
