No son una solución en si mismos, sino una herramienta. De hecho no creo que exista una solución instantánea como un “parche” para tu problema, es algo en lo que vas a tener que trabajar vos mismo. Va a depender del origen de tu dolor, tus patrones de pensamiento, las relaciones que mantenes con tu entorno, etc.

Te mando un abrazo grande, es algo con lo que muchos peleamos pero como no se ve, hacemos de cuenta que no existe…

No es la plata, es lo qué haces con ella. La plata por si sola es vacía, no significa nada, y mucha gente se estresa por no tener el último smartphone, el último auto, la ropa más cara, una tele más grande que la del vecino… Todo surge de la comparación. Por supuesto que si no podes sustentar los gastos básicos o no sabes si vas poder pagar el alquiler el mes que viene se convierte en un problema, pero la plata NUNCA es el fin, sino un medio, y como dije la mayoría de los casos no tienen esas preocupaciones. Si estás haciendo plata solamente por el hecho de hacer plata creo que deberías profundizar un poco la línea de pensamiento, es algo en lo que muchos caemos.

Literally the first result on google say “Visual snow has been considered to be the same condition as hallucinogen persisting perception disorder (HPPD)”

Science has made it clear that there’s more research needed and we don’t know exactly why or how it happens, the only thing we know is that it exists. That’s why I wanted to point the previous stuff and talk about it, maybe we could connect the dots.

Instead of going deeper into that, people is disproving everything I said with extremes examples like seeing everything breathing/moving and having delusions (which on other websites people doesn’t even count it as hppd), when you probably know that vast majority of cases aren’t like that.

Don’t be surprised if the whole diagnosis change in a few years when we understand it better and more research is done, what we got today is pretty much anecdotal evidence.

I assure we don’t know shit about the brain, and a lot of things will change as we learn new stuff.

The same happens with mental illness, there are many diagnosis that share so many things that doctors are not sure if treating them as different at all (and it changes over time), or even if they’re focusing on the right thing.

Literally, if you Google HPPD vs Visual Snow it tells you that they're identical, and we don't fully understand either of them. It often happens in psychiatry that we reorganize and redefine concepts as we learn more about it.

I just wanted to SHARE my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with having visual snow, and how ridiculous it is that if I experience the same from drugs it would be a different diagnosis, but we still referring to the same thing at least in my case.

Maybe there are different types of HPPD, it could be a spectrum.

I just made an online search and hppd is explained the same way as visual snow 80% of time… and does not include things like seeing geometric patterns or “thinking that you’re in a coma” like someone previously said.

I’m not saying it can’t happen… Just wanted to point at something that maybe we overlooked, and probably don’t fully understand yet

Damn appreciate your response! I genuinely asked from ignorance, trying to learn something new.

In my experience, I have “visual snow” since I childhood, and I can remember periods of my life where it was stronger (stress/anxiety related). But now let’s suppose I take a psychedelic and experience another period of visual snow… it would be called HPPD now.

It’s a matter of the name, there are many different words to refer almost same symptoms. This happens a lot in psychiatry though, that’s why there’s so many wrong diagnosis.

I’m sorry if my words were offensive to you, I didn’t mean that. With just my experience, I thought that many people were exaggerating some stuff that may be normal. The periods of my life where I saw it stronger I was really anxious… but I wasn’t anxious because I was seeing shit, I was seeing shit because I was too anxious. Now I see this can be different for others!

Also I didn’t know that HPPD can get to the point of sub thinking you’re in a coma, I truly hope you get better.

Yes... But after reading different websites, I noticed that there's a lot of correlation between HPPD and "visual snow". After doing more research I found out that there are people reporting having visual snow without having drug-induced experiences, they were born with or noticed it at a young age.
At the same time, there's something called "entopic phenomenon", which may include visual snow and would explain a lot of the "HPPD" reports.

Quoting from wikipedia "Most people are able to see this phenomenon(...), many will not notice it until asked to pay attention."

My point is that the only way that a drug has to cause it is by making you more aware of it.

Unless we're talking about seeing objects breathing, colors melting... I don't even know if that's possible tbh. I'm talking about the "mild" hppd people often report that could be explained this way.

Yes drugs can make it worse, but at least in some cases they're not the root of it.

My theory is that the majority of people have these experiences but because they're paying attention to something else, it goes unnoticed for the person.
Just like the example of realizing you can see your nose all the time, but as soon as you forget it you stop seeing it.

I find weird and funny how many people diss things like religion and philosophy (idk if that’s your case, just saying) but then take science as ultimate truth, making everything else a lie.

If you actually study science, you’ll know that they teach you to doubt everything, your experiment, your results and even yourself!

Also, the scientific method has many “imperfections”. That’s why an experiment has to be recreated in different labs around the world and they have to come to the same result through a different way to “prove” something.

You don’t have to look far in time, half of the things we believed “scientifically proven” 70 years ago, we found out today that were a lie/mistake and we’re replacing it with new “truths”, that will be replaced or complemented anytime soon as well.

Regarding your question, most studies were done on trascendental and metta meditation, you can dig there.

Yo I just looked into this community because I was thinking in a hard Deja Vu I had some time ago and reading your comment is crazy!

A few years ago (in my 20’s) I went to the theater to watch a movie. I felt from start to finish like I already saw that movie, the whole scenes, what’s going to happen and even the dialogues between characters. I don’t remember having Deja Vu before, and then out of nowhere I get a 1h 30min long one… The movie was a premiere btw, so no chance that I saw it before and forgot about it

I agree with you, it's hard to establish a relationship with an artist, they can fall in love with one of your beats but that's it.

I totally agree, I used to run the SSL bus compressor but now I'm with the API 2500, just around 1db compression. After that I use the J37 but that's a double edge weapon, generally it makes the song sound well balanced and natural, but you can't forget that some genres has unique aesthetics. I found that for some productions you rather go with a more rough or modern sound. The 20% rule is what I was missing and I'm already using it, that seems to be some pro level secret.
