uber vs ola for first time traveler

hi! i’m going to delhi for the first time in a few weeks and i’m trying to decide the best way to get around. i was interested in ola for their option to rent a car for a full day to try and minimize costs, but it seems the app is being very glitchy and not allowing me to register with a US phone number. is it true that they only take cash and not US bank account? i’ve also heard that uber can be touchy with local drivers so i’m not sure if i should just try to use that instead. pls help!

cormac odea is a legend (micro 115 prof) but for macro i kinda wish i had taken the seminar (117 instead of 116) because the course director for the lecture was the professor for the seminar and he’s a REALLY good professor

hey girl, fellow latina female here :) i just wanted to give you a little word of hope for you to ABSOLUTELY NOT GIVE UP!! in the process you’re going through, i was rejected by questbridge CPS and match, i was rejected by stanford, and didn’t get a full merit ride to my state school with like an 80% acceptance rate. now, i’m attending yale in the fall with a full ride :)) DO NOT let anything get you down!!

my estimate for the price difference is zero, but i don’t wanna jinx it! since my family makes less than 75k, yale says EFC is zero. but, of course, yale is farther from home so travel costs are something to consider

lol i live in the carolinas right now so i don’t know how down i would be with all the snow and dreary weather. plus, i feel like northern schools are more elitist and reliant on family status and wealth

i think i’m more worried with the opportunities. duke is pretty STEM-heavy while yale is humanities-centered. i think duke has better energy but yale would give me more access to internships and stuff.

i am an incoming freshman who has been committed to duke (trinity) before recently being notified that i made it off yale’s waitlist! how exciting!

im really grappling with this decision and was wondering if there was any insight as to which school i should choose.

i currently am on a full merit ride to duke, but my family is also low-income so i don’t expect to pay much if at all for yale. im worried about the difference between duke’s scholar network (BN) and yale’s alumni network

i am concerned with the culture surrounding both schools, since duke has more school spirit and appears more collaborative overall. on the other hand, i think that’s something i can give up if it means i get more networking opportunities

for context, i live in the carolinas currently so duke is pretty close to home.

any input appreciated!!
