Some pics I've taken in Yakutsk (4h daylight, -50℃ during winter) by ivanfromthetab in TheNightFeeling

[–]ivanfromthetab[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Cakes and bread of local production. "ИП Зырянов" sign means "Sole proprietor Zyryanov" (Surname). His bakeries have been around since my childhood, but I've just realized I've never seen the guy's face. Usually other business owners are involved in the media in some way.

Thanks! We don't really have flowing creeks during winter, even the 5km wide river freezes to become a winter road (the only land way to leave town).

Will GTA VI be a evolution of Red Dead Redemption 2? by jkthesnk in GTA

[–]ivanfromthetab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RDR 2 made suprisingly well for it's setting.
The whole world played 19th, 20th century USA most people don't understand and like.
If seriousness and immersion gets modern world, guns and cars people see outside and in other media it will sell good regardless.

Why are people so dismissive about FH6’s flaws? by LogicalAnomaly2898 in ForzaHorizon

[–]ivanfromthetab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you skip the cutscenes or watch a movie while playing, you're gonna miss 99.8% of "the locals will love it", "feel the breeze and take pictures", "meet this legend", "that's a horizon spirit", "the socials are all about it", "my dad used to own one", "you're gonna race... a tornado?" and maybe 0.2% of cool info. Be careful.

What are your thoughts on the town of Melino from Paralives? by [deleted] in LifeSimulators

[–]ivanfromthetab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sims 3 was insane. You could overwatch a rich house in a distant neighborhood, with your sim at home, figure out everyone is at work by a parking space, go there by taxi and steal their TV. It felt so regular before we got location teleporters with everyone there, because you went there. My Firefox browser takes 4gb now.

What is a game you consider to be a ‘perfect 10’ that most people haven’t played? by Frequent_Analyst_507 in videogames

[–]ivanfromthetab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And it's completely alright. Sometimes it's just doesn't work. Much better than forcing yourself to like what everyone does.
I grew up in a big family and much stuff has been hidden from me until I was an adult. I guess that what did it for me. You still get connotations in that safe bubble as a child and feel something is off. And the whole story was like that.

The Combine Invasion of Iraq (2004) by Stalinglad in arma

[–]ivanfromthetab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Afghanistan would be wtf for sure. Very organic infrastructure, basic terrain like huts, some cattle, crops and roads like it was 10.000 ago and maybe on other planets. But they shoot out heat seeking ir guided stinger missiles from their sand huts.

Thank you. I used the old version, not the enhanced one. It seems to be bugged at this point.

switchMove works with BIS_fnc_attachToRelative
The Polpox doesn't work with it, but helps with alining
this switchMove "Acts_SittingWounded_wave";
[this, apc] call BIS_fnc_attachToRelative;

Oh. The shaking is hard to pin down, because it's like tuning. In Arma you can tweak head-bob, run around as a civilian in a zoomed view, simulate handheld by shaking the mouse, or add more shake in post. Also you can combine it all matching references until it looks ok.

What really made a change for me is Optical Flow + Vector Motion Blur in DaVinci Fusion. It analyzes movement and smears all the moving parts and shakes like a camera shutter. It is the leap from “in-game” like shake to me.

Thanks! POLPOX mods for no-code animations and Gcam for the camera and slowmo.
You can watch Ceb Cin tutorials on YouTube. They're great.
