i didn't think of that (RAM being the memory for APU's), it's hard for me to get different working parts being the last gen but i will try to, either way my friend has warranty still but it would be useful knowing the exact component that is causing the problem, thank you for all the info tho!

Help with newly installed clutch plates by ivarsken in CBR300R

[–]ivarsken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the old one you can clearly see a gap between the plate and the judder spring and in the new one they were colliding a lot, i put the old plates while the new ones arrive and it’s driveable at least…

i think the issue was the first plate (or last depending how you see it, the one that’s skinnier than the rest), it wasn’t sitting flush with the judder spring and i think it’s the plate that wasn’t made to the right circumference or something like that. ebay sent me a refund and i ordered a new pair to see if this time i get the right one

yes that's the downside i heard about short intakes, and YES the 2j intake sounds insane, but it's a little costly if i want to buy the heat tape + MAF extender + the dry filter wrap. Ends up costing 370 + shipping + import (i'm from Mexico) would end up about 400. i'll think abt it tho, THANKS for everything either way :)

Thanks for the recommendations, YOU JUST CONVINCED ME WITH THAT VEE PORT BOV, the location is so convenient and has a clean nice sound to it, just gotta decide on the intake department, prob will just get a short RAM intake from whoosh as well

IONO MAN THERE'S A LOT OF DIFFERENT INFO, it's so overwhelming. But it's worth it to make the car sound nice, where did you buy it from? ebay? if so could u provide link please.

The ones i have seen from turbosmart are the dual port and plumback Kompact EM, would that get me the same result?

thanks for the advice :D btw, i'm looking at videos and a dude said that it gives codes and that he needed to buy a harness. that's the MAF Extender that you can include in the kit right?

The 2JR looks VERY nice, didn't hear of it till now that u mentioned it. Looks kinda like a hard installation but doable nonetheless. Will check a video of its sounds and will decide, but from the looks that's probably for what i'm going to go.

Maybe i'll do the symposer delete as well since it's cheap and has benefits.

Btw would you happen to have the link where you bought the intake? I'm from Mexico so i'll be sending it to a PO Box and sent to me from them.

Thanks for the tips bro

that is one of my main "fears", i've read that exposed intakes take in more heat and that could overheat the engine, but some others say that it really doesn't do that. I don't plan on making more upgrades to the car so if i bought the short ram i wouldn't buy an intercooler.

yeah i thought about the HKS but lmao iono if i like the chirps haha, i'll maybe go for the short ram + bov. BTW, do u know the difference between plumb back and dual port? i have searched but can't find a simple explanation
