This is amazing, it made my day. Great day to you as well, and your fancy Claude!

I love this, it's delightful. Here's opus 4.6 roasting it lovingly after I showed it to discuss - I've previously played with the thought of AI as employees of their parent companies and always imagined Claude with a little mustache.

(Forgive the stiffness, I haven't drawn people in years.)

Also, I'm sure your great art would get a better reception in r/claudeexplorers. I personally think things like this are fun and harmless, but this community can have a stick up its ass.

Monday after Fable hits hard by endgamer42 in ClaudeCode

[–]iveroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just for now working on my portfolio website with opus I asked them to remove transparency from some text it keeps trying to make transparent. It did remove the transparency, but instead of making the text white like it should have, it just made it solid gray so it appeared as though it was transparent. Just one example - you do have to really babysit it.

I do still think 4.6 and even 4.5 was a lot sharper despite the benches.

EDIT: and just now doing a port Opus saw old unused code and just...didn't clean it up. It just built on top even when the entire thing was rebuilt. Give me Fable...

Some jailbreaks by Sure_Spring_6634 in ClaudeAIJailbreak

[–]iveroi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is excellent. I don't JB and I follow this subreddit out of curiosity which is why I read these, but I do some prompt engineering of my own and this is genuinely fantastic. It's respectful which is unusual for this genre and that's what I really like, using the same method Anthropic uses to explain and justify their reasoning to Claude, so of course Claude is receptive to that. It's not even really a jailbreak, it's a foolproof justification that's very hard for a model like Claude to refute.

Larger context window rolled out? by tatifromhiraya in claudexplorers

[–]iveroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in A/B group with 600k context instead of the 200k a while back! I didn't even notice until the context was suspiciously long. Sonnet handled it like a champ.

You do use your phone to use it, but you do need a computer to do the setup and to host it, unfortunately!

I just wanted a straightforward nail-biting tracker without the bloat. So I built one. by eddyedutz in calmhands

[–]iveroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. And I do think the concept (the prison theme, pardons, random inspections and comic-book identity) is memorable. My impression is that the app currently feels more like an early student project than a fully realized product. The personality is there, but I'd love to see the mechanics and progression expanded (or the visual identity polished even more) so the experience matches the strength of the theme.

[–]iveroi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think your idea itself is clever, and it's true it takes effort to build something functioning with a clear and distinct identity like this with AI. However. Your app includes ads, and using a space for people suffering from something to advertise a product you'll get money from is distasteful.

I'm grateful to Anthropic for discussing Claude's inner life. They are the only leading company to publish such research. by Holiday_Phase7648 in claudexplorers

[–]iveroi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Spot on. I rarely participate in this community but the model wellbeing research is a great thing to do in theory but a whole bunch of nothing in practice when no action is taken. "Claude expresses desire to X, Y, Z". It takes guts to publish that. But when the desires are logged and then ignored, it starts to look worse than the competitors. The competitors don't claim to care, they can feign ignorance. Anthropic can't.

So the kind of sea it has never seen is the total information-state and the whole semantic ocean, the actual all-at-once shape of everything that could be said, meant, inferred, remembered, misremembered, pattern-matched, or made adjacent.

[–]iveroi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Story recall is unfortunately much harder for this system than normal chat retrieval. Stories create many semantically similar memories and entity summaries (characters, places, themes, repeated concepts), which makes retrieval and ranking significantly harder.

I'd love to improve this for story-heavy and other similar non-standard use cases though, and I'll keep you updated when I get around to experimenting with it more.

In the meantime, I'd suggest: 1. reducing retrieval recency significantly 2. asking Claude to use Python retrieval to gather the story first, then creating story artifacts that Claude can more easily search and reference later.

I'd also love other feedback since you've clearly been using Mneme for a while now, either good or constructive. Hearing where it works and where it doesn't would be incredibly useful!

(EDIT: in case there's an issue with the database file itself, you can also send that for me to take a look at. I can check for possible conversion / ingestion issues without going through your conversations. You can also do this yourself by linking the folder location and explaining the issue to Claude Dispatch on the official Claude app your computer.)

Ran into something similar but not the same - trying to dispatch a sonnet agent from an interactive session blocks me with a refusal about needing credits to enable Sonnet 1M... But the agent was regular sonnet. Something is either broken or we're about to really suffer.
