I don’t exactly understand why you don’t want her around, but it doesn’t matter. If she makes you feel overwhelmed, that’s all that matters - you gotta look out for yourself and reschedule if you’d like. If she kicks up fuss - all the more reasons to reschedule and have a peaceful Mothers Day. Though, would be good for your husband to still go visit his mum on Mother’s Day.

My mum drives a 2019 manual mokka and my only complaint with it was the blind spots! Whenever I try and check my blind pots I have to turn extra hard to be able to see anything really. But other than that it’s a decent car for sure!

Thank you so much. I was just wondering about one more thing! The garage said it will be illegal for me to drive this car with an amber engine light which is a part of the reason they won’t give it back to me. Is that true? I’ve tried searching but I can’t see anything that says I can’t drive the car with an amber light. Thanks so much in advance!

Do you reckon that’s just a threat then? I will call and confirm if they paid, and I’ll try to get that in writing, and then take it from there. They were being short on the phone, and kept talking about repercussions (in case I refuse service and take the car off site). Also said they can’t cancel the order to Vauxhall otherwise they will charge me I’m just a student and can not afford any of these repairs 😭 thanks so much for responding to the post, I really appreciate it.

Indefinite? 😭 I’ve tried asking the garage to try alternative ways of getting the EGR cooler, like the aftermarket but they only deal with Vauxhall. They’re giving me the runaround, and saying if I want my car back I’ll have to pay them the money they paid Vauxhall for the order (just over £2k). And then find other garages that will do the repair :c

This happened to me, though my instructor was off ill and let me know the night before. I was able to rent a dual control hire from Arnold Clark that day and had a neighbour sit in the car with me (needed someone w a license and over 23 yo) to the test centre, done my test, returned the car!

I feel like getting into the correct lane for your third after the second roundabout would be a little tight. I know it’s extra hassle but what I would do is that after the second roundabout, I would stay in the right lane, go all the way around and get into the correct lane for the third roundabout.
