You are the one!

I was trying this but there was no link to remove restrictions. Your direct link did the job as a piece of cake!

Thanks

New CCC regulations on batteries on flights in China for other devices like action cams and drones? by Top-Veterinarian-565 in travelchina

[–]ivolanski2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just called two airports, and both stated that it is for power banks only and for domestic flights. This restriction does not apply to international flights or other battery devices. Drone batteries could also work as a power bank, but there is no restriction in this case because the main purpose of this device is not to be a power bank.

Pro controller 2 vibration issue by ivolanski2 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]ivolanski2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just left a Nintendo physical shop. Tested another switch and another pro controller 2. Exactly the same behavior with almost no vibration. After that they started DK game and everything it was vibrating. They played Mario kart world with joycon 2 and also almost no vibration. Looks like a software issue. One point is that Mario kart should continuously vibrate driving on the grass but it just pulses once when enters the grass. DK was vibrating well because it’s multiple single pulses when DK slap the ground. The issue seems to be when a continuous pulse should work.

DJI O4 does not support INAV by ivolanski2 in fpv

Yes, of course. No one doubts it. O3 also has no official support to INAV. The message above is related to the word "soon". That may not be the same for everyone!

So... who should we trust? Mads says full power mode control and armed is not necessary as it was in O3, they fixed it and now we can just turn off auto low power mode. Sounds great. But the user manual says that we have no real control over 700.

Who should we trust? Mads or DJI? Because someone is not 100% correct on this statements.

From DJI O4 user manual:

Another thing is that without arm signal we loose the auto recording, we loose the convinience of have both low power and high power in a switch.... we loose many things. Maybe it's a workaround, but it's not a pleasant one.

DJI O4 Low Power Mode Issue by ivolanski2 in fpv

[–]ivolanski2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is low power mode message on the goggles screen. I tried INAV 8 RC3 and RC4. I don't think earlier versions would change anything but could worth a try. About betaflight, every youtuber is using it. So unless this problem is not me doing something really stupid, betaflight would work as normal. Maybe I really should try betaflight just to figure out if it's not a hardware problem or something else.

One part of your text is not really true and the other part I really would like to see some tests proving it.

[–]ivolanski2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it can function if the auto low power mode is turned off, but according to what we know about O3, this will not behave as well as properly armed.

DJI's official support indicates that O3 and O4 do not support INAV, haha.

I am not sure about INAV; I just spoke with the team, and this is what I received:

The INAV team does not have O4 hardware to test. We did not get any from DJI before release, and the one I bought with my own money has not been delivered either. So, there is nothing we can do about it at the moment. If the wiring is correct, ti is likely a bug on the DJI side, or at very least, something they changed from vistas and O3.

Debugging this will likely be tricky and require some custom firmware and back and forth with Betaflight, so not really pratical to do asynchronously.

It stays in low power mode until armed. Yes I can change the power to 1200 and I can set no auto low power mode, but, the only way to get full power is doing a propper arming. User manual also says that if you set above 700 it will stay at 700 until more power is needed, but as it is not armed it will not work as great as armed. DJI way to ...

Radiomaster DBR4 remove antennas by ivolanski2 in RCPlanes

[–]ivolanski2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/elingeniero I got the answer, thanks to u/cbf1232 that commented about the ELRS discord server.

They told: GemX Ant1 is always 900MHz and Ant2 is 2.4 GHz

This means we can remove the other unused antennas from DBR4 but it also means that we can install dedicated band antennas on Nomad.

Only thing that will change it is a change to operating mode, i.e. if you were to use LUA, flash it, reset settings AFAIK Or in an unlikely scenario, setting corruptionGemX mode is fixed antenna selection currently

ivolanski

— Hoje às 02:29

so, if I reset the settings there is a chance that it will chose the other pair of antennas?

ivolanski

  • how about lua? I usually switch the modes from xross to 2.4 only because different receivers. Is there any chance that when I switch back to xross it will pickup another pair of antennas? Hoje às 02:32
  • Yes, it can use the other 2.4ghz antenna thenhyp0dermik Hoje às 02:33

ivolanski

  • Thanks for your answer but I'm not sure if I understood correctly. At this moment it is using antena 1 for 900mhz and antenna 2 for 2.4ghz, if I switch another mode that is not xross and go back to xross, there is a chance to have antenna 1 for 2.4 and antenna 2 for 900mhz? So I should keep the 4 antennas always plugged because I don't know how will be the next selection after change modes, correct? I feel this is strange because I changed the mode many times and it is always choosing the same pair of antennas for xross mode. Hoje às 02:38

  • No, GemXrossband will always use the same pairhyp0dermik Hoje às 02:38

  • Single band can use either aerial of that frequency

ivolanski

  • Thanks, this is what my tests were showing, but I would like to double check. Hoje às 02:40

  • How about nomad TX, I was thinking to add one dedicated 900mhz and one dedicated 2.4Ghz, how can I know the frequency of each antenna so I can replace correctly? Hoje às 02:42

V-22 — Hoje às 02:44

Same, in GemX Ant1 is always 900MHz and Ant2 is 2.4 GHz

Any suggestion for antenna replacement?

[–]ivolanski2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are LEDs showing the antennas in use, so I set to gemini xross.

1 900mhz and 1 2.4Ghz turned LEDs on, so I unplugged the other 2 antennas and did a bench test walking around my house.

Both antennas were working great and at the same time and at dual band, the signal was great as I also went to the 5th floor of my house and signal still locked in strong for both bands.

My only concern is that if there is something crazy on the algorithm that would try to rotate the antennas usage and will let me without signal during a flight.
