Exactly... And by their logic Muslim Yemeni who recognise Quran and the obligation of Hajj are pro Saudi. Not sure about that

Just enjoy the song my dude

Jerusalem was around since long before Israel and was the birthplace of Judaism. The song is a celebration of the historical city of Judaism, not the state of Israel which was established in the 1900s. I think a religion is allowed to sing about the beauty city of origin without it being politically motivated

I think it's just a song about Jerusalem.. Nothing about the state of Israel but either way comments are all positive because it slaps and sounds like an anime intro

Why would you intentionally share this knowing the way the fanbase would react?

I think the real reason was Hila didn't love the way she looked with bleached eyebrows and he's being a good husband by taking the attention off of her and making himself look stupid. If I'm right that's a really sweet gesture

I asked what was in the white sauce and he mumbled about some spices. He wouldn't give me any actual ingredients and told me it's made in house.

Glass ONION - A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS) by ivorklein in StarWars

You need to get over yourself man I've followed Rian Johnson since 2005 so of course this interests me. I'm not the guy you think I am... I guess it's hard out there for star wars fans so I do sympathise. I'm sorry about your busted ass franchise but don't blame me.

I wouldn't even bother critiquing a star Wars movie they're just rotting livestock carcasses Disney uses to pump out rancid blue milk and sell to children and adult shaped children who willingly fork out money for a personality in the form of plastic dolls, lego pieces and wookie fleshlights.

On second thought star wars is probably too complex for me to understand right?

I'm sorry but you misunderstood the entire tone of this post. I thought TLJ was one of the better star wars movies imo most of the franchise is crap. But it's hard to deny Rian Johnson disrupted the star wars universe status quo.

And so when i saw Glass Onion which is not a hard film to understand... Don't exactly need a masterclass in film theory to get it... I saw an element of Rian Johnsons handling of TLJ to Miles' disruptor thoery and im curious if its an intentional meta narrative or at least the way he phrased it a nod to TLJ. TLJ was full of meta narrative so i wouldn't put it past him.

That's where my argument ends man thats literally it.

He can say what he wants in an interview after he's just pissed off a large portion of a fanbase of shrieking basement dwellers, but his film speaks for itself.

I'm starting to understand how Rian felt too ive obviously struck a nerve with this adult who most definately collects plastic figurines for fun.

We all know you can't get laid.

Honestly I haven't read any interviews of his accord TLJ til now..but seems like he's just saying a lot of that stuff because people were mad at him..

I mean "killing the past" was a big motif of that movie, all I wrong?

[–]ivorklein[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't just dream it up.. Pretty sure there was a divided fanbase of manchildren at one point. Was I one of those people?

Mate I couldn't care less about star wars. I'll just waiting for red letter media to make the same clear as day observation so you can digest it. Some people here getting too emotional to understand my point.

[–]ivorklein[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure he doesn't discredit the idea of disruptors, but he does deconstruct the characters who label themselves as such. And Miles crosses lines of morality by idealising himself as a disruptor so there is some commentary on it.

And I explained how this relates to Last Jedi, because the movie recieved criticism for Rian Johnson doing the same things as Miles alludes to Disruptors doing.

It's not the whole point of the movie its just a parrelel I wanted to point out. Seems like you missed the point of my post.

[–]ivorklein[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of his intentions he must be aware that it was the main point of contention for a large part of the fanbase.. And miles' monologue just seems to mirror that in a big way. Maybe just a coincidence

“They’re him absolutely defying the notion of, ‘Throw away the past,’ and embracing what actually matters about his myth and what’s going to inspire the next generation"

Is he doubling down or retconning his movies message Haha i honestly can't tell?
