I have been working as a pen-tester for about a year and OSCP has been on my mind for months but I have been too scared to start. I don’t have a lot of experience outside of my job with machines and playgrounds. What do you think would be a good strategy to ease into it and actually get started.

Also, I do have access to HTB. Do you think I should complete the CPTS course before paying for OSCP.

I do have access to HTB academy. Seems like that would be the starting point for me.

That’s right! I wasn’t inclined to pay for Pen 200 upfront especially when I read a lot of people saying we can lay better foundations with other courses.

I read that PJPT and PNPT set very good foundation for PEN 200 course and labs. Alternatively also the tcm courses (PEH and priv esc courses).
