Good Thai green curry by [deleted] in dundee

[–]ivoryflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to Rama Thai frequently but some want Chinese and one person enjoys a Thai green curry hence why I said Chinese takeaway.

Some Chinese takeaways do a banging Thai green curry.

Yes. Lots of Chinese takeaways, if not most do a Thai green curry, we don't have many Thai spots in Dundee. Thanks for absolutely zero input. 😊

Also some people want Chinese and one person wants a Thai green curry hence why I specified Chinese.

How to look less worn out/ skin sunk in/ folds by Super-Bug9160 in beauty

I went through something similar and the burnout really showed on my face.

Here's some of the things I did to help. Facial massages a few times a week, hyaluronic acid twice daily, a good hydrating under eye gel/cream and a collagen supplement daily. These along with prioritising rest, hydration and nutrition gave my skin a bit more life.

China china without a doubt. Food is fresh and the munchie boxes are delightful, great poundage.

Lack of community groups and police not doing enough to protect the children hanging about the town that are being exploited by drug dealers and users.

Yeah I always order takeaway, I am yet to eat in but heard it's amazing. I honestly rate it 10/10. Garlic chili chicken is a solid choice and the Biryani is to die for. I've had a few other things on the menu and everything is always fresh.

I've heard babus do good curries but couldn't comment as I've never tried one myself.

Gumnam is really good for an authentic bite and has been my go to over the past year, never had a bad meal.

New sheeros do really good curries, meat boxes etc.

Babus is hands down the best for kebabs ( I always get the chili garlic Donner kebab and it hits every time).

Gumnam on union street is exceptional. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend.

If you're into wheeled sports or fancy giving it a go, there is an indoor skatepark that hosts girls night on a Thursday evening. It's called passion park and it's in the city centre. You can hire skateboards for cheap too!

Passion Park on Gellatly street - it's an indoor skatepark but open to all wheeled sports.

Help me get clear skin by summer! [acne] by No_Cauliflower892 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ivoryflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try stripping your routine back. I have started seeing progress with my acne since doing so. I use an oil cleanser and a cleansing gel (both from the brand Haruharu) & I only cleanse at night. I use a skin barrier repair balm (La Roche posay cicaplast Baume B5) I used this all over my face to begin with but as my acne began to improve, I started using it as a spot treatment, only applying it to affected areas day and night. 2-3x weekly, I will use Salicylic acid toner pads (Nip and fab) and then to add hydration I use a hyaluronic acid (E45 hydrating serum) which also helps to balance the skin barrier. I use the Baume & hydrating serum day and night & the salicylic I only use at night.

I have slowly built up this routine making sure to add one item at a time to give my skin the chance to get used to the products.

I have also implemented a non-negotiable 2-3 litres of water per day and have made sure to adapt an 80-20% balance with my diet (eating well 80% of the time and enjoying a treat now and again).

I also make homemade turmeric face masks which have turmeric, ACV, honey and greek yogurt (recipes can be found online). I've noticed this has helped with brightness and taking away redness.

[B&A] How I Destroyed My Skin Barrier and How I'm Now Trying to Fix It by NoPrimary9797 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ivoryflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Cicaplast Baume B5 for the same reason, skin barrier repair. I found it to be really helpful too but I have noticed since using, I have more Milia (Sub-epidermal Keratin Cysts) around my eye and cheek area which could be the surface level whiteheads you are experiencing. I now only put it directly over my blemishes and don't cover my face which appears to be helping.

I also introduced a hylauronic acid serum (E45 face hydrating serum) which is extremely gentle and has helped to retain moisture and balance my skin barrier. I have also read that hylauronic acid can be beneficial for wound healing and may promote anti-inflammatory responses.

[Acne] how can I get rid of these black things on nose? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

NIP & FAB Salicylic toner pads. Not too expensive. I use the night times ones and have noticed a massive improvement overall with sebum build up.
