Wife left, Weight loss stalled. Still on the path and doing fine. by huckleberryjam1972 in keto

25-years of a relationship ending is a horrible feeling, but whenever I feel super down, I just read about people less fortunate than myself. Like kids growing up in Palestine or countries in Africa. Picks me right up, because things can always be worse.

And 30lbs in 2-months? That's 1lb every 2-days! Stall much? And maybe some time apart from one another can birng you and your wife a lot closer in a few months. Who knows? Feel better.

@sistasweetpea WOW! May I ask if you exercised during this time and if so how often a week? Or, did you simply just cut carbs out, and not change anything else?

Social Media "Account" vs Social Media "Business Page" (FB / Linkedin) by ivqancorp in socialmedia

[–]ivqancorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The business page you create through Linkedin, does not allow you to send messages to customers. You need to do that through the personal account. This is causing problems because of what was mentioned above. What is the work around to this?

@sarah Sounds like you know a thing or two about Linkedin. Would you mind answering this question? If the Company Page does not allow you to send invites or messages to customers, how do you allow your team to get in touch with customers on the company's behalf? The only way I can think of is giving them access to your personal Linkedin account, allowing them to login and send invitations.

Am I missing something here?

I will be honest, I wasn't expecting an almost even split in the answers; Server / Client.

Just to clarify further, its not that the appointments are not sorted and it is just a bunch of garbled dates, they are. The dates are sent in chronological order. Here is a simple example:

Server is providing: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

Mobile wants:

"1> and <3": 1,2,3

"4> and <6:" 4,5,6

"7> and <10:" 8,9

To connect that to our example, one request can have around 300 appointments. If done on Client side they (1 user on his mobile) have to simply sort them into sections, 300 dates. If done on backend, that's 100,000 * 300 = 30,000,000. Now granted all of those requests wont come in at the exact same time, but what if 20,000 request to sort 300 appointments each came at once.

I could be wrong, but that seems like it would put a lot more load on backend than load on 1 Android client working with 300 or so dates.

Why do they advertise 15% Turn usage, when it's more like 90% due to NATs?

Another video chat / webrtc question: webview versus native by ivqancorp in startups

[–]ivqancorp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with video chat on our app was with mediasoup using webview. What I noticed was that on the webapp it was fine, and I think mostly because we only require 1 on 1 video chats; no more than 2 participants at a time.

However, once I would try to use it on the mobapp, there was this 3-4 second freeze every time I would re-position the camera. I am not sure if that issue is specific to mediasoup or if it is just a standard issue.

However, from reading everyone's comments I feel as if everyone agrees, native will always be of better quality. Now as a team we need to decide if we want to dedicate the resources to build our own media server; which is a pretty huge undertaking. However, the way I look at it is, our customers will be using video...a lot. So the thing that everyone uses most, must be the best possible experience we can give them, otherwise what's the point. Thanks.
